Subject: Latest PSA
Hi,
For those of you who have read some of my posts before and have asked for
updated, I will comply.
I had another PSA April 3. My last one six weeks ago was 19.2. This one
six weeks later is 12.9.
I am quite sure that I am hormone refactory and my Oncologist agrees. We
are judging this from the behaviour of the PSA since October of 1995.
I have followed the Flaxseed Oil and Cottage Cheese Regimen, though not as
strictly as Dr. Budwig recommends. I made some mistakes as to amount and
the protein with it. The last year and a half or so has been trial and
error to get it right.
My Oncologist is German, knows of Dr. Budwig's work and is very much
interested in it. She is schooled in the US.
In December she had me go through a bone scan and body scan which showed no
evidence of metastasis. There is evidence described in a book, "The Omega
Plan", that suggests that one of the values of Omega 3 is the prevention of
metastasis. In Jan 1991 there was, now there is not. The only standard
treatment was four years and eight months of hormone blockade discontinued
by me in October of 1995. Since that time there has been no drugs or
standard treatment.
I am using most of the supplements that are used, including tomato juice,
green tea, etc. For a month I have been working again on the rebounder,
which is believed to be a big help in detoxifying one's system. I am, of
course, staying with the Flaxseed Oil and cottage cheese. I am using some
Soy protein and whey powder.
In six weeks my PSA has gone a third of the way from where it was to 0.
That probably isn't a fair comparison.
I am not pushing an Agenda, merely reporting what is happening to me.
Incidentally, I never had a Gleason score. The doctor simply told me in
January of 1991 that my cancer was not slow growing, though it was not as
aggeresive as some.
Incidentally, this regimen has been equally effective against all cancers,
including Ovarian cancer.
Obviously, the use of Omega 3 has not caused my PCa to grow faster.
