Ending the Fast, Day 15, Day 16, Master Cleanse

Day 15 I started longing for food. The end was near and it was tough. I actually got nauseous on my run, I had to stop and pretend to stretch as I fought the waves of bile on the street corner. Truth be told, it was too hot to be out, and my sense of smell is really keen on this thing. Everything reeked of feces, or dog pee, or garbage or exhaust. I had to turn around and limp home slowly.

Day 16, I didn't make it to the end. I had some solid food. Cake actually. Birthday cake. My favorite. It was my mother-in-law's birthday amd "just a little" I told myself. I ended up having to sleep for two hours. It was like someone slipped me a mickey. But did I learn my lesson? NOOOO... when my brother-in-law and family arrived I had two tortilla chips with a little hummus, some mozzarella and carbonated water with orange slices...oh, and a little more cake. There was no REAL binge. Everything was little savored bites and I realized that THIS is how I should eat ALL the time. REALLY LOVE IT. Don't just shove it in your face.

Silly, girl. I feel alright other than that nagging sensation that I was SO CLOSE to finishing right. I did the lax tea and a SWF as usual, and today I'm back on oj. I have Trader Joe's Organic veggie broth in the house if I can't get to the store and boil my own, but I'm hoping to do that today for tomorrow.

It's harder to be at the end than in the middle! Strange.

All told, yesterday I was 13.5 pounds down from where I started. Most of that is water weight I know, but I'm going to really nail the workouts hard for the next few days to try to offset the new input that my body's getting so i don't pile it back on. My tounge's not pink, but when I go back on it next time, I'm hoping to get there.

I'm going to take it slowly, every day one step at a time...a little solid food here and there, but from now on, better choices!
