Well, I'm starting this curezone blog a little later than expected but since I began my fast I've been following some other fasters blogs and that inspired me to share my story too. Hopefully it can help other people in one way or another, but, more so- the blog serves as an accountability piece for myself.

I started July 15th at 226lbs and with a whole lot of emotional stress that weighed me down even more. Today, I weigh 214lbs and I feel a lot better. 10 days, 12lbs- you may be wondering why the weight has not melted off quicker? Well, I cheated a few days in there (hey, Im brutally honest). My Grandma's birthday fell within my fasting days and I had a piece of cake and a glass of wine, I had a half a cup of egg drop soup one day, I had a few skittles another day, so---- my fast is not really taking shape the way I want it to; but I want to change that... I need support and I'd love to hear from other fasters frequently. Accountability buddy?

I refuse to be defeated by this obesity giant trying to strip me of my health. I am 5'10 and my highest weight has been 265 (last year). I lost that weight by changing my eating habits... that is what I hope to do once I come off this fast. I want to end my fast with a juice diet around Aug. 15th or so. Then, I want to eat a 95% raw diet. I'm having trouble finding good raw food recipes (simple and fast ones); any ideas?

I'd also like to hear from anyone who has fasted and lost weight- who has kept the weight off as well... Care to talk about it?

Well, hopefully this opens the dialogue up to a beautiful start.
