I wanted to tell you I read Truth Heals this morning (all in one sitting, i could not put it down!) It is powerful, to the point, and with your personal story woven into the book it is a moving journey with a very emotional and authentic message.
Product Description
Truth Heals is Deborah King's astounding probe into the stark, naked, unadulterated truth - and it's powerful impact on the life, death and the health issues and aberrations that happen in between. Through case-histories of her healing clients and the telling of her own remarkable story, Deborah illustrates how illness and disease can give way to a healthy, vibrant life.
From the Author
They say a book is a labor of love. For me this has certainly been true. I wrote my new book Truth Heals: Dismantling The Lies That Make Us Sick because I wanted to reach as many people as possible with the message that I teach in my free healing events, workshops and private practice: that the truth can set you free. It was my love for people I have never met but whom I know I can help that pushed me to bring this book to print.
From the Inside Flap
"The beauty of a blowjob lies in the element of surprise and spontaneity. No need to book a hotel room. No need to bother getting out of clothes. A master of the art, I could be on my knees and in the act with no more than a flick of a wrist. And I could swallow like a champion: I could have gone to the blow job Olympics. But blowjobs were more than a specialty, they were my raison-d’etre. A good blowjob could secure a coveted part-time college job, help score an ‘A’ from a law school tax professor, or land that corner office with a west-facing window at the law firm. Neither judges nor opposing counsel were immune from my charms. But clients were my personal favorites. Never could I resist a man in need, and many a client who walked through my office reeked of need. They came for advice. I gave them much, much more." ( excerpt from memoir writings, 1988)
She had the world by the tail. As a young hot-shot lawyer, Deborah King’s star was on the rise. She acted the part of the ultra-liberated supergirl so well that everyone around her was convinced of her boundless success. The truth? The truth was very different. She was an alcoholic and out of control, swinging between sexually promiscuous manic and depressive descents into the depths of hell. She was a very sick girl pretending to be fabulous—smiling through gritted teeth when she woke up in the beds of men she did not now, in rooms she did not recognize. She knew she was in trouble, but it took a diagnosis of cancer to stop her in her tracks and get her to look squarely in the face at the truth of her life.
In order to heal from the cancer, in order to live and not die, she was forced to stop hiding the truth - the truth about what it meant for her to grow up with a cold, uncaring mother and a father who sexually abused her from the time she was little more than a toddler. Her recovery from cancer at age 29 led her to a rigorous study of healing and on to a Ph.D. in Healing Science. Today she heals others, tapping into energy distortions caused by her clients’ painful pasts, guiding them to release the secrets that keep them chained to a less-than-healthy life.
About the Author
Meet Deborah King, Ph.D., successful corporate attorney and hotel developer, whose life was riddled with painful illnesses and conditions from the time she was a small child. From chronic tonsillitis at the age of 7 to painful digestive and reproductive organ troubles and sexua| acting out in her teens, to manic-depressive episodes and alcohol addiction in her twenties the truth of her painful childhood was taking its toll on her body and was screaming to get out. Finally, a death-sentence diagnosis of cancer sent her on a quest for healing that would address the very root of her failing health. Her profound recovery through energy healing led her on a quest, exploring and practicing healing modalities from around the world, from ancient Egyptian to ardent Christian to new age schools of thought. Deborah holds both a doctorate in law and a Ph.D. in Healing Science. Today, she heals clients privately in her Los Angeles based- practice and also guides thousands to recovery in public-access healing events held across the country and around the world. She lives in the mountains above Los Angeles with her husband and horses. Her life and work is proof positive that the truth will set you free.
