Man Posing As Flower Delivery Man Kills Woman

Every day the world seems to get more brutal.  It is scary to even walk to the store in my opinion.  Is it just me or is violent crime going up more than ever.  Give me the 1970s.  Sure we had Kent State and Watergate and Viet Nam, but it sure did seem like much gentler times.  We didn't lock our doors and kids played outside until dark.  Sure we had child molestation and we didn't talk about it much, but it seems we have more now and well, has society really gotten any better by us talking about it and bringing everything out in the open that used to be only discussed behind closed doors?  For one, I think it desensetizes people and lessend the shock value of many things.  Myself, I much prefer the days of Ozzie and Harriet.  Nowadays, women are abducted in broad daylight when they go shopping at Target:

Yes, things like that have always happened, I'm just saying I think it is more often and I don't think we are as shocked to hear it as we were in past years. 

After an extensive manhunt Tuesday afternoon, the gunman wanted in a fatal shooting in Mission Valley is now in custody.

Local authorities arrested the 34-year-old suspect in City Heights, after he allegedly posed as a flower delivery man and gunned down a woman in a Mission Valley office building Tuesday shortly before 3:00 p.m.

The shooting happened in the 3500 block of Camino del Rio South, according to San Diego police.

After gunning down the woman, a 31-year-old receptionist, then allegedly calmly walked out of the building and left the area in a gray Mitsubishi sedan.

Police arrested the suspect a short time later at his residence on Towle Road in City Heights.
