Party Day!

Just a quick post. I just finished my two day water fast this week: Thursday-Friday. Today I have so much on my plate (so to speak). My girlfriend's new baby is getting baptized and then there will be a huge bash afterwards. I'll see a lot of old faces and my wonderful sweet friend Kathy will be there. I just love her. Never seen anyone more comitted to God and she does it in a way that doesn't make your skin crawl. No judging. Just supportive, wonderful Kathy. So I can't wait to see her. The fiesta afterwards might be difficult for me. I won't be tempted by food but the ladies don't know that I'm doing this and will be pretty shocked when I don't head straight for the Pacifico beer. Laugh. Alcohol doesn't sound good to me at all!

Later, I'm headed for my Mom's house to prepare yet another Chicken Divine and my mashed potatoes for my Sister-In-Law's 30th birthday. My family just loves this dish. I also wanted to make a big dill pasta salad for Erik this weekend but I need someone to taste it for me. It's very difficult to cook and not taste: i.e. not enough salt? Dill? What does the dish need?

A lot to do! A lot of food to be around ALL day long! And a lot of fun also. I hope not to stand out too much at the post baptism party!  Hopefully they'll be too absorbed in catching up with me to ask too many questions. I will shout to roof tops about this fast after I maintain the weight and continue losing. Otherwise, it's just an experiment as far as weight loss goes. My boyfriend is very skeptical now that I can keep the weight off. He told me last night not to get too excited about it because it might not stay off. That took some of the wind out of my sails. But I am excited and I'm determined also. That usually equals sucess for me. Alright, I hope to check in later tonight or tomorrow morning on how my day went.
