Day 16 by ger1 .....

I love food, can I really give up meat?

Food food food food food food food. The world seems to revolve around food, or is it my world. I watch food TV, search out recipies, and take in whatever whiff of food aromas I can. I love it!

I made vegan cookies with my Granddaughter yesterday and of course couldn't try them, or the batter...she ate one and seemed to like it. I will have to make them again when I am back eating again. It was wierd not being able to eat something that I cooked. Especially when I usually taste what I am cooking for seasoning purposes(and the pleasure)of the taste.

I am doing foster care relief and just cooked a dinner of shake and bake chicken, baked potatoe, and a nice veggie salad for the teenaged boy I care for. The chicken smelled good but I couldn't help think about the dvd I watched on the meat and dairy industry and how bad eating farm animals and thier by-products is for a human body and the environment.

Every cooking show I watch features some kind of meat and dairy.

As I continue to ponder the changes I am planning in my life, I honestly wonder if I will be able to do it. I love fish and seafood but having read about all the crap that comes with it I am really torn on that one. Eggs as well, I really like eggs and will miss them. I guess time will tell how well I do with these diet changes and all I can say right now is that I am going to give it long enough to see if it changes my body and health as much as it claims  it will.

I stopped doing the SWF for a couple of days and after reading some info on the MC support forum I am going to start back up tomorrow morning. I find I have more energy than I have had in ages. The energy has changed the way I live in my days, I do more, feel more joy and have a sense of peace in my step.

I have incorporated p&b shakes into this cleanse as I find I get more out with them. I am passing ropes and lots of gunk. I am not recommending this for others to do, it is just something I find works for me.

I can tell by my clothes that I have lost weight. I don't have a scale but will weigh in at the gym when I get back to working out. The exema on my fingers has cleared up and people are commenting on how good my skin looks although I have noticed I am getting blackheads, something I never had before.

I am excited to be at day 16 and with every day that ends I know I am closer to fulfilling my goal of cleansing for 40 days.
