In many ways it's easier on a weekday. Theres more structure to my day.

Our weekends are usually filled with spontaneous little trips to places the kids will enjoy, and I felt this weekend I needed to stay close to home. We did get down to a local park to feed the geese and admire some newborn ducklings yesterday late afternoon though.
My husband is going back to work later tonight so he can be home a little earlier every day this week. That makes the dinner rush hour so much easier on me. It's great he has the flexibilty with his work hours.

I had something extra delicious to drink yesterday and I forgot to mention it with all my whinging on about my elimination woes.

....Baked mushroom juice!
(Ok, broth really, because it was cooked.)
I cooked a whole lot of Portobello mushrooms with some garlic, black pepper and a little seasalt in the oven as part of yesterdays Fathers Day breakfast. I was baking bread at the same time (sorry 'bout all the food talk) so I cooked the mushrooms covered. The result was quite a lot of delicious black, strongly flavoured liquid.
I strained it and drank it while everyone else ate their big breakfast. It was soooooooo nice! It has inspired me to try and make my vegetable broths a bit more flavoursome!

We had the electricity off for a while today as the sea air has corroded the point of entry to our house and it's being repaired. So, I missed a juice mid afternoon. I cut up the veges and went to make the juice then it clicked...no electricity = no juice!! Bugger.
Amazing what we take for granted.
Consequently I found making and serving dinner extra difficult tonight...everything looked so good! If I'm well juiced I can remain detached and not dwell on what I might be missing. For success, I KNOW it's really important to drink enough juice, and to drink it frequently enough.
The electrical work isn't finished yet. It's weather dependant so I'm not sure yet when we'll be without power again.
There is a juice place only 200m from my front door so I could be paying them a visit sometime this week. Might also pay to keep some extra juice in the fridge.

Day 10....that's a 1/3 of the way to 30. Wow.
