I know that I've been having way too many acidic foods and beverages. And I know that my back-of-the-neck headaches appear when I'm not regular. But I just read that back-of-neck headaches are because the body is too acid (vs other types of headhaches which are for other reasons in people). Then I read this trick:
When have a back-of-neck headache, put a teaspoon baking soda into a half glass of water and start sipping it (it will be very strong in taste). This strong mix will alkalize you quickly enough to relieve the back-of-the-neck headache.
It worked: I had this type of headache this morning, and after three or four sips of this, the headache is reduced. I also had some watermelon with the drink - but watermelon alone would not have done this, I've tried that in the past.
BREAKFAST
Small amount black coffee
A little green apple
Popcorn
A diet cola, no caffeine
LATE AM
Sipped the baking soda remedy (above) and had some watermelon
Than had a little peanut butter and honey
LUNCH
Sauteed garlic slices in oil with a bit of salmon for flavor
Small amount beef
Eaten on: romaine lettuce leaves with mayo, olive, radish, ginger root
Some raw salmon too
A little dressing that has corn in it
A small smoothie: blueberries, coconut milk, stevia
Two (yup, only two) potato chips
Three homemade ginger snaps (no wheat or gluten)
MID AFTERNOON
Black coffee, peppermint tea, and some kalamata olives
DINNER
Not hungry but dealing with the leftovers of the headache.
Grapefruit sounded really good, so I did this variation of a Ph drink:
Grapefruit (eaten, not just the juice)
A few mineral drops
A little molasses
A pinch of epsoms
Also had:
Some carrots
Romaine lettuce and tomatoes with dressing that has corn in it
Dandelion juice
