Transitioning back to food... Need to work on willpower

Date:   7/26/2006 10:40:26 AM ( 18 y ago)

Yesterday was OJ day! I juiced oranges for my co-workers in the morning (there are only a dozen or so in the corporate office these days). It tasted like heaven.

I came home from work for a couple of hours because we had a vet come over to look at our cats. Our older one, Rowan, has heart disease and has been losing a lot of weight. It turns out he is dehydrated but doing okay. She gave us some glue-type supplement. One and a half teaspoons gives our cat tons of vitamins and over 2,200 calories! Wholly Mollie! It is also an appetite stimulant so let's hope we can get him back up to at least seven pounds. The vet called him a healthy old guy with heart disease. For some reason that amused me.

Afterwards I went back to work and just wasn't into it. I couldn't focus and I don't know why. Maybe I have too much on my mind or maybe I'm just tired of working all the time. It was like once I left for the vet I was on after work mode.

On my way home from work, I picked up a couple of watermelons. One has yellow meat inside, wonder what it will taste like. The other watermelon is the typical variety. I blended up some of the red one for dinner. I took my first probiotic too. Then I started cooking (details in previous posting) my soup that I planned on eating today. Since I ended up making one batch on the stove, it was done before I went to bed. I admit it, I have still need to work on my willpower. I had some soup last night and feel all bloated and gassy now (serves me right for rushing it). The soup tasted soooooo good though.

My second version of soup smelled fabulous when I awoke this morning. I packaged some for the freezer and brought some to work for lunch. For breakfast I had more blended watermelon. I'm going to start the Parastroy program with lunch today.

That's all for now folks,
Peanut
