the little joys

Day 13! I put my 13th happy face on my calender and felt really good
about my progress. Not only just making it through the days, but that
all my previous cleansing has made this Master Cleanse exceptionally
easy detox wise. Cleansing does seem to be accumulative and the benefits
build on each cleanse and so, for me, this progress means I am really
making headway to get myself back to the "pink of health".
I spent my day enjoying doing all the little things I often do not
make the time to do. Dusting the ceiling fans, wiping down cupboard
faces. There were lots of gorgeous clouds so I took my chair out by
the garden in the early morning sun and sat by the growing plants.
It feels good to grow our own food. I am never sure exactly what the
water I am using is like but I pray to transmute it into a healthy
source of life for my plants which in turn, turns into healthy food
for me!
It is very hot in Texas, where I am, and so each day it is important
to make sure everything has water. That is an early morning chore I
really enjoy, and the payback is the multitude of birds and squirrels
and insects, lots of butterflies, which frequent the bird baths.
The cardinals must be mating too since I am seeing lots of pairs of them
and they are flirting and posturing big time!
Otherwise, the routine is becoming set. I am knocking down my Salt Water
Flush easily and it is working fine. Getting my quota of lemonade in just
fine and also my water. Been using the flower remedies and that feels good.
May try out some essential oils tomorrow, just for fun. My cravings have disappeared and even television commercials have not made me wince for a
few days now.
I am keeping up with my exercising and spending time in the sun. Went for
a walk yesterday to admire the new crop of wildflowers. We are surrounded
by pastures and lots of trees and each week a new wildflower blooms and
so at any given time you can see 10-20 different flowers with one being
predominant for that week. Black-eyed Susans this week!
I have also found myself spending more time outside, barefoot, in the
sun, thinking about things. Lots of mental gymnastics which so often
I tell myself, no time for that now, and am more often than not, rushing
through my day to arrive at 5pm. Even if you work at home, the 5 o'clock
hour seems special. This month, however, I am really shaking up the grid
and allowing myself to meander mentally and physically wherever I want
and on my own schedule. I am kept on the straight drinking lemonades
and of course the pets have certain needs but mostly, I am enjoying this
time and making myself comfortable.
So, a day of bliss for me. A minor annoyance of catching poison ivy
from hugging on the doggies, but that has happened enough I am getting
used to it and its almost a meditation, my reminding myself not to scratch!
I am reminding myself what joy is for me at this time. Fresh lemons,
organic maple syrup! Pure water which nourishes and cleanses the cells
of my body. The night falling and the starlight becoming prominent,
reminding me I am part of a bigger picture. The moon was still huge and
bright, and I was filled with gratitude for my life.
Inside, my cup of Chocolate Smooth Move was steeping, and I had just
settled into my chair, cup in hand when I heard a tapping. I was just
a hint alarmed since it was rather late at night. Much to my glee and
surprise, it was a good friend of mine from San Antonio. He was visiting
a client in Houston and decided to drop in and surprise me. He did!
We stayed up until nearly two chattering and laughing. Fell asleep like
children who had played too hard, in a little puppy pile. It was a good
day all around...ggg.
The thought for today, day 14....

Selfishly seek joy, because your joy is the greatest gift you can give
to anyone. Unless you are in your joy, you have nothing to give anyway.

To all my fellow fasters! Have a great day and keep those lemonades flowing!
be happy, be well,
