Day 11 by Zoebess .....

gone with the wind

Day 11 went smoothly for me. It was a chance to renew my committment for the next ten days. I miss the gung-ho feeling of my first long cleanse but also realize that that time was spent creating the foundation for this one. I am much more relaxed and of course the focus of this cleanse is on rebuilding moreso than cleansing. I am using the lemonade as a "cayenne delivery system". Have been adding a little more cayenne each time I make a drink, and pushing the envelope so-to-speak, pepper wise. I am so grateful it is hot enough to really enjoy the lemonade. I am no longer really craving food but emotionally miss the company which goes along with eating. I do not trust myself to watch others eat right now so am not making any more invites until I am stronger. The last time this was not even an issue and so it is interesting to note the differences between the two cleanses. One of my major goals was also to shake up the food paradigms in my head so that too has been going on and I find myself thinking about it a lot since it is my main reason for fasting.

I am keeping up with my protocol and adding things one by one. Today I will add some wheatgrass into the schedule. My new crop is beautiful and emerald green, about 6-7 inches high. It can go higher, but I am going to cut some today because it is high *enough*. I had added organic topsoil and hummus and lots of kelp to my bed this time when I planted it so am expecting it to really taste good.

I added some Bach flower remedies in the mix yesterday too, being curious to see how they would effect my mood. I felt really relaxed last evening and after knocking down my evening chores, I quietly read for an hour, sipped my evening lemonade and prepared my nightly lax tea while I ran my bath. I slept great and woke up feeling good too...so going forth to meet day 12!

Day 12 has already proven to be fortuitous. I saw 3 deer in the yard which is exciting since poachers had killed off most of the deer the past couple of years and we had not seen any in over a year. This year we put up no trespassing signs and so far everything is quieter and the sign of deer makes my heart want to sing!

I put my 11th Smiley face sticker on my calender this morning and feel really good as I approach my half-way mark to the end of the month. One day at a time is working....ggg

I wish all my fellow fasters the best of the day and successful cleansing!

be happy, be well,
Zoe
