About the conference:

As the world grapples with the growing threat of a radical Islamic regime in Tehran obtaining the technology to develop nuclear weapons, "In the Eye of the Storm: Iran in Global Perspective" provides a rare opportunity to learn about these issues from leaders in the field of Iran studies and international relations. The conference is co-sponsored by The Israel Project and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Harry S. Truman Research Institute For the Advancement of Peace.



Throughout the day, some of the world's leading academic experts on Iran will discuss in depth various international perspectives on the Iranian situation, such as Iran's strained relations with the West, its aspirations to leadership among fellow Muslim states and its growing impact and influence throughout the developing world. The conference is crucial for informers and shapers of public opinion seeking to gain expert perspective about how Iran sees its place in the world, and the nature of its relationships with other nations.
