"The Official Manual for Spice Cadets" is the "officially unofficial" cookbook for the 64th World Science Fiction convention. This book features out-of-this-world recipes from science fiction fans who will be attending this convention in August, 2006. This book captures the fun and wackiness of science fiction fandom and is a useful cookbook with recipes you'd be proud to cook for your friends.

Karl Lembke has collected strange, wondrous, and tasty recipes from guests and members of the L.A. Con IV, the 64th World Science Fiction convention (www.laconiv.org). In keeping with the convention's "Space Cadets" theme, Karl has published "The Official Manual for Spice Cadets."

Karl Lembke has been involved with science fiction fandom for twenty-five years, and has been cooking for at least thirty years. He has crafted four banquets for crowds of between fifty and sixty, and will be in charge of the Staff Lounge at LA Con IV, the 64th World Science Fiction convention (www.laconiv.org). By way of a day job, he is a Water Quality Inspector for the City of Los Angeles.
