seems like only yesterday
i was a part of you
you changed you life
as i grew inside of you
is there a love any deeper than a mother and a child

you smiled and you listened
even if i made no sense
you wiped my tears
and made me smile
even if at your expense

all the wealth in the world
and stars in the sky
I would give for another day with you

you showed me wrong from right
and how to smile
even if you were blue

heaven is for the moms
who taught us love

Of all the things that touched me,
none as much as you
heaven and earth are a better place
because of moms love
