The new internet talk radio show, Army Wife Talk Radio (AWTR), developed specifically for army wives, will be celebrating it's one year anniversary in April of this year. Kicking off the anniversary celebration, authors of "Help! I'm A Military Spouse -- I Want A Life Too!" Holly Scherer and Kathy Hightower will share a four part audio conference with the AWTR listeners.

Starting with their first show April 18, 2006, AWTR broadcasts weekly, featuring up to date information, special reports, as well as stories and interviews specifically tailored to army wives. 'Our Life. Our Family. Our Soldier.' is the motto of the site developed by Tara Crooks of Richmond Hill, Georgia.

Crooks has been "married to the military" for eight years now. She has a passion for educating and providing a sense of community to other army wives. "I am so excited to have Kathy and Holly join us," Crooks said. "They share my passion, and together we are making a difference," she continued.

In the past, AWTR has answered questions ranging from "How do I read an L.E.S.?" to "What is my role in the F.R.G.?" Crooks wants to offer more than just a training resource. When brainstorming for information on empowering Army wives, Crooks came across http://www.militaryspousehelp.com. Scherer and Hightower were quick to jump on board. Scherer says, "Knowing that Tara is the momentum behind this ball - I definitely see this being successful."

"We've covered so many topics, and there are still so many to go," Crooks said. "The support has been tremendous and the ideas are infinite." With articles in military magazines, generous sponsors, and the age of the internet, there is no room for failure in AWTR's future. Army Wife Talk Radio hopes to be the internet resource for army wives across the globe. "We welcome your comments and suggestions on our listener's line. We are here for you," Crooks said.
