A simple meal can have a strong impact.

I was very encouraged last night.
I went to eat dinner with my aunt and a friend of hers - we ate at the home of a couple who are my aunt's friends. This couple strictly follow the Hallelujah diet, which is high-raw vegan. (My aunt and uncle are also into this lifestyle).
I am acquantances with this couple, having met them several times in social settings. I had never been to their house before. They live out in the country, with a beautiful house they designed and had built. We started the evening with a tour of their many beautiful gardens. I was particularly jealous of their huge rosemary plants that were growing vigorously!
Then we went inside. In their lovely kitchen we enjoyed an appetizer of fresh figs, and were poured large glasses of rosemary lemonade. Then we sat down to a simple, yet delicious dinner. It consisted of a large green salad with yellow peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, fresh garlic, etc. And topped with a fresh lemon juice, honey, and organic extra virgin olive oil dressing that she had prepared. Accompanying the salad was a bruschetta that incorporated french bread, olive oil, garlic, basil, tomatoes, and banana peppers.
For dessert there were some small squares made of raw nuts, dried fruits, agave nectar and carob.
I really did enjoy it all. And as we ate, they shared how they strictly stick to the diet and can't even imagine going back. They rarely cheat, and usually their cheats are only half-cheating - something like a soy sour cream once a month.
My family eats a lot of junk and so I haven't been eating as healthfully as I should. I was really encouraged by people eating and living a healthy lifestyle.
Lifestyle can be an encouragement in itself.
