Long Hot Summer by vibr8 .....

morning, evening, or night, must make walking part of the routine...

Didn't want to keep going so long without checking in about my commitment to walking. After all, I'm often blogging on my other blog, about all the energy healing and quantum stuff (my true passion); those who notice details such as someone with one active blog and one that appeared to reach a stillpoint last May might have wondered what happened.

Quite simply, other than walking short distances to get from my car to work, and my driveway to my house, and of course all the walking around I do at work and at home and living my life in between, I haven't been going for walks really.

I have not given up yet though. I still know that it's important for me to work toward an improved state of health, and that exercise is one of the key components I will need to integrate into my daily activities. Walking is perfect. Swimming is ideal.

There are other aspects too.

I can't really use the old excuse of pain, as I no longer experience knee pain or back pain to any degree that would keep me from exercising. The VIBE treatments have pretty much kept me pain-free.

When I try to look at the big picture of my life as it is, and why I've not been walking, the biggest answer that pops up out of the whole thing is time. Not having enough time for anything. Enough time to go to work at my fulltime career. And a few hours in the afternoon eaked out to do open hours at my alternative health office. Sleeping and seeing family and friends in the slim pockets of hours that sometimes are available in between all that.

That's how I see it for now. Perhaps a re-framing is necessary. There has to be time to walk. Time to schedule hiking with friends in the gorgeous foothills I can see from my studio every day. Time to spontaneously just walk around the block like I always used to...

I'll figure it out, now that I am focusing on it. More news soon hopefully.
