"Global Ruling Class Billionaires"

http://tinyurl.com/2637oq

That article was sweet music for me, laying out the ways that various fortunate people got to their station of being the Elite Wealthy. Justification for the "disparity in prosperity" is usually that "they deserve it because they went to school, worked hard, and applied themselves".

Did YOU do all those things too? Of course not, or maybe just not well enough, or YOU would be rich too, dummy.

Humbled, we slump off to our lowly stations and are glad to have any money at all. We are "free to move about our station", and are happy for that.

But getting back to the Billionaires - there are now nearly 1000 [946 at last count] throughout the world. The article states that India has the highest number of billionaires (36) in Asia with total wealth of $191 billion; China has 20 billionaires with $29.4 billion net worth; over half of the current billionaires (523) came from just 3 countries: the US (415), Germany (55) and Russia (53).

quote: "The total wealth of this global ruling class grew 35 per cent year to year topping $3.5 trillion, while income levels for the lower 55 per cent of the world's 6-billion-strong population declined or stagnated."

Most of the money in existence is in those very few hands - everyone should know this about our world. That is a key fact for several reasons, but mostly that 'concentrated wealth is easier to control' - just control the people who have it.

From the Wealthy Elites point of view, their fear is that money could easily spill out to the poor people if they are not carefull. Also, some of the rich ones might decide to play god and start doing philanthropy [being generous and starting projects that benefit the poor], or worse yet start setting up "renewable energy" projects for poor communities. That would be bad for the economy, in the minds of the Elites who control all economies with energy, which means fossil fuels only.

What did these people do to deserve so much wealth?
Quote: "The 35 per cent increase in wealth mostly came from speculation on equity markets, real estate and commodity trading, rather than from technical innovations, investments in job-creating industries or social services."

The theme is obvious: "people WITH money can make money easily". Thats all it is, it is nothing like "deserving it by merit". Thats the Elite's own fantasy, they really believe in a "meritocracy" where the best have the most. It isn't so - most of the hardest working smartest people doing innovative things are just wage earners who make their bosses wealthy. Read the section on how Russian Billionaires got their money - most of them are in their early 20s!!

And now what? What is the Wealthy Elite's plan for the near future? When do they have enough of the world's money under their control, and how many Billionaires do they want to have owning that wealth? The possibilities are endless for them - they can do whatever they want, control every government on earth with their economic clout, they could easily bankrupt any nation who does not play along with their plans.

Continued control is the first job. That comes by owning all the right businesses and having their people in all the right places, from governments [Bush] to regulatory agencies [FDA, etc], and NGOs like the World Bank [Wolfowitz] and IMF. Keeping the United Nations weak is another of their constant worries, but so far it has been no problem.

Beyond that, they have no worries. Control all economies, scoop the largest portions of wealth for their own uses, and grow grow grow. The "first world" got too small for all of them, so they went global. Borders and nations mean nothing to them. Neither do hungry people, low wage labour, or military incursions that kill so many innocent civilians in establishing "their people in all the right places". Thats what the many of the current wars are about....

Keeping the individual Billionaires in check is a constant battle for them though, but so far they have succeeded by simple threats of financial ruin or violence if necessary.

There is one problem however... and it could spawn some people to see the ugly reality of this global ruling class. Global Warming has been breached, by Al Gore. No other wealthy Elite had the guts to speak the truth [truth that THEY knew many years ago, when they ordered up the "global warming denial industry" - why else would they do that unless they knew it was real?]. "An Inconvienient Truth" is a title of the movie, and it means "inconvienient TO THE GLOBAL RULING CLASS OF WEALTHY ELITES.

People are now aware that we have done the unthinkable - humans have made the atmosphere and climate unstable - something that all life on earth depends on being stable. It is the result of using fossil fuels as our primary source of energy, to the exclusion of all other energy sources. Of course, Nuclear and hydro power are major energy sources too, but they are also co-opted into the "single corporate entity that we all pay into" scheme of the Wealthy Elites that creates billioinaires at the top.

We could have done it differently, where various energy sources were used and many different people could have seen some benefits from being producers, spreading the wealth around more equitably, meaning fewer social problems and less poverty and crime. Some biofuels from independant producers [individuals can do this], and solar power technologies that anyone can invest in for their own homes and become small time producers that might get back some cash from excess production they do not use. A few wind turbine investors could power up entire communities, or the whole community could have set up renewable energy installations that gives back almost free power for decades without further investment.

That would have made our emissions much less, and the atmosphere would not have been changed to unstable. In fact, IT IS STILL THE BEST SOLUTION TO GLOBAL WARMING. The solar and wind installation will have to account for half our power eventually, lets do it now before the weather gets worse.

However, what it means for the "global ruling class" is a loss of control over energy, which means a loss of control over the world's economies as they have now.
That is why we had those "denials" of global warming, and that is why we are still stalling in making reductions.

Mass media tells us the solution will be in place by 2050.
2050?? - That is 43 years in the future!!! By then the climate changes will be long established, far too late for us to do any good at all. We are too late allready as far as having changed the natural order of things, and only by reducing emissions by half by 2020 will help to avoid the very worst of extreme weather, which is what we MUST, AT LEAST, do.

Al Gore tells us that reducing emission by HALF is very do-able without even putting an end to gas-burning vehicles. Of course, it will help to have electric cars instead of gasoline burning cars, but other solutions are also available. The stalling we have been subjected to is not about technology - electric cars are all over Brazil, and China has nation-wide 45MPG minimum mileage regulations [which is why USA autos cannot be sold to China!!]. Some nations are allready getting 100% of their energy from renewable sources. Its not that we don't have the technology...

Yes, we COULD reduce emissions by half in short order, but the Wealthy Elites are getting in the way of that happening. They are afraid of losing this easy path they are on, and of losing global domination. They have fed us fake science denials, and they have people like PM Stephan Harper and Pres GW Bush onside with them to halt all initiatives that might take away their control of energy. And they have those 946 Billionaires onside too, and about 90% of the world's wealth.

What can we do about the Wealthy Elites and their despoiling of the only earth we - the ordinary people - will ever have? Unless the Elites volunteer to quit this path, we will have to force them to do it, which is easy enough to do but only if we decide that is what we need to do. Are you with me?
