The former professor at Claremont College in California and author of The New Pearl Harbor says the Neocon 'Project for the New American Century' wanted a crisis to kickstart a big military buildup by the USA.

Before you go rushing out in the streets to celebrate, bear in mind that Griffin is also one of the authors of the World Federalist classic, "Towards Genuine Global Governance." Ouch!

Griffin Seals Case for WTC Demolition

In two speeches to overflow crowds in New York last weekend, notable theologian David Ray Griffin argued that recently revealed evidence seals the case that the Twin Towers and WTC-7 were destroyed by controlled demolition with explosives. Despite the many enduring mysteries of the 9/11 attacks, Dr. Griffin concluded, "It is already possible to know, beyond a reasonable doubt, one very important thing: the destruction of the World Trade Center was an inside job, orchestrated by terrorists within our own government."

On Oct. 15th and 16th, New Yorkers filled two venues to hear the prominent theologian and author of two books on 9/11 give a presentation entitled “The Destruction of the Trade Towers: A Christian Theologian Speaks Out.” Dr. Griffin has continued to blaze a trail of courage, leading where most media and elected officials have feared to tread. His presentation went straight to the core of one of the most powerful indictments of the official story, the collapse of the towers and WTC 7.

Dr. Griffin included excerpts from the firemen’s tapes which were recently released as a result of a prolonged court battle led by victim’s families represented by attorney Norman Siegel and reported in the NY Times. He also included statements by many witnesses. These sources gave ample testimony giving evidence of explosions going off in the buildings. A 12 minute film was shown for the audiences, who saw for themselves the undeniable evidence for controlled demolition.

Dr. Griffin listed ten characteristics of the collapses which all indicate that the buildings did not fall due to being struck by planes or the ensuing fires. He explained the buildings fell suddenly without any indication of collapse. They fell straight into their own footprint at free-fall speed, meeting virtually no resistance as they fell--a physical impossibility unless all vertical support was being progressively removed by explosives severing the core columns. The towers were built to withstand the impact of a Boeing 707 and 160 mile per hour winds, and nothing about the plane crashes or ensuing fires gave any indication of causing the kind of damage that would be necessary to trigger even a partial or progressive collapse, much less the shredding of the buildings into dust and fragments that could drop at free-fall speed. The massive core columns--the most significant structural feature of the buildings, whose very existence is denied in the official 9/11 Commission Report--were severed into uniform 30 foot sections, just right for the 30-foot trucks used to remove them quickly before a real investigation could transpire. There was a volcanic-like dust cloud from the concrete being pulverized, and no physical mechanism other than explosives can begin to explain how so much of the buildings' concrete was rendered into extremely fine dust. The debris was ejected horizontally several hundred feet in huge fan shaped plumes stretching in all directions, with telltale "squibs" following the path of the explosives downward. These are all facts that have been avoided by mainstream and even most of the alternative media. Again, these are characteristics of the kind of controlled demolitions that news people and firefighters were describing on the morning of 9/11. Those multiple first-person descriptions of controlled demolition were hidden away for almost four years by the City of New York until a lawsuit finally forced the city to release them. Dr. Griffin's study of these accounts has led him beyond his earlier questioning of the official story of the collapses, to his above-quoted conclusion: The destruction of the three WTC buildings with explosives by US government terrorists is no longer a hypothesis, but a fact that has been proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

It’s important to note that Dr. Griffin is one of many prominent intellectuals--including the likes of Gore Vidal, Howard Zinn, Peter Dale Scott, Richard Falk, Paul Craig Roberts, Morgan Reynolds and Peter Phillips--who have seen through the major discrepancies of the official explanation of 9/11 and have risen to challenge it. These brave individuals represent the tip of an ever-growing iceberg of discreet 9/11 skeptics. Indeed, 9/11 skepticism appears to be almost universal among intellectuals who have examined the evidence, since there has not yet been a single serious attempt to refute the case developed by Dr. Griffin and such like-minded thinkers as Nafeez Ahmed and Mike Ruppert. As for the general public, polls have shown that a strong majority of Canadians (63%, Toronto Star, May '04) and half of New Yorkers (Zogby, August 2004) agree that top US leaders conspired to murder nearly 3,000 Americans on 9/11/01.

How, then, can the mainstream US media continue to ignore the story of the century? Perhaps the best answer was given by Dr. Griffin himself in the conclusion of his talk, and is worth quoting at length:

"The evidence for this conclusion (that 9/11 was an inside job) has thus far been largely ignored by the mainstream press, perhaps under the guise of obeying President Bush’s advice not to tolerate “outrageous conspiracy theories.” We have seen, however, that it is the Bush administration’s conspiracy theory that is the outrageous one, because it is violently contradicted by numerous facts, including some basic laws of physics.

" There is, of course, another reason why the mainstream press has not pointed out these contradictions. As a recent letter to the Los Angeles Times said:

“The number of contradictions in the official version of . . . 9/11 is so overwhelming that . . . it simply cannot be believed. Yet . . . the official version cannot be abandoned because the implication of rejecting it is far too disturbing: that we are subject to a government conspiracy of ‘X-Files’ proportions and insidiousness.”

"The implications are indeed disturbing. Many people who know or at least suspect the truth about 9/11 probably believe that revealing it would be so disturbing to the American psyche, the American form of government, and global stability that it is better to pretend to believe the official version. I would suggest, however, that any merit this argument may have had earlier has been overcome by more recent events and realizations. Far more devastating to the American psyche, the American form of government, and the world as a whole will be the continued rule of those who brought us 9/11, because the values reflected in that horrendous event have been reflected in the Bush administration’s lies to justify the attack on Iraq, its disregard for environmental science and the Bill of Rights, its criminal negligence both before and after Katrina, and now its apparent plan not only to weaponize space but also to authorize the use of nuclear weapons in a preemptive strike.

" In light of this situation and the facts discussed in this lecture---as well as dozens of more problems in the official account of 9/11 discussed elsewhere---I call on the New York Times to take the lead in finally exposing to the American people and the world the truth about 9/11. Taking the lead on such a story will, of course, involve enormous risks. But if there is any news organization with the power, the prestige, and the credibility to break this story, it is the Times. It performed yeoman service in getting the 9/11 oral histories released. But now the welfare of our republic and perhaps even the survival of our civilization depend on getting the truth about 9/11 exposed. I am calling on the Times to rise to the occasion.

Dr. Griffin’s speech given at the University of Wisconsin earlier this year, entitled “9/11 and the American Empire,” was broadcast twice on C-SPAN. In late September Dr. Griffin was asked to give expert testimony at hearings sponsored by Cynthia McKinney and the Congressional Black Caucus investigating the 9/11 Commission Report. He is currently Professor Emeritus at Claremont College in California.

Thoughts-
Ever since Powell went to the UN with easily identifiable forged evidence - twice - I have thought that they were doing a sloppy job on purpose. Im not so sure if the majority of the "fakes" on your list know that they are doing the globalist dirty work. I think most do not.

It also seems to me that people like myself are being created on purpose, just the economy is being tanked on purpose, just as the jobs are being removed on purpose, etc. People like you are being created on purpose. They are smart. It is true genius - to employ your own dirty laundry to further your cause. Not the work of an average intellect.

I seem to keep a fluid summary of what the hell all this is, because I cant be quite sure - its beyond my reasoning skills.

Ive been trying to figure this all out since Oct 2001. Ive come to some semisolid conclusions.
A) The net is a creation of DARPA. They are finding out who is who - and they dont need to directly employ any "truthtelling" sites to do so. Any and all will do. They have the routers.

B) They want things to look like Armegeddon. This makes a sizable segment of Americans who would otherwise do something, sit still.

C) If you arent stupid enough to believe them, perhaps youll be cowardly enough to be intimidated by them... and sit down, shut up. I think they count a great deal on this. I think the crappy coverup is used for this as well.

D)There is a heavy Israeli utilization and participation which serves to shield the deeds, besmirch whistleblowers, and cause Zionist Christians to sit down and shut up. (That would be at least half of your protestant population in the South - minimum)

You are right - it is a worldwide concerted effort and many nations are in on it. I sometimes wonder if the fact of the matter is that in reality, we are actually at war with the European Union. As in PetroEuro, managed switch, etc - first they have us kill the possibility of the PetroDinar - as they destroy the PetroDollar, to make way for the PetroEuro.
Then you guys get the bottomless checkbook!
But thats a different theory.

Maybe I'm on the wrong website. I looked at the offerings of Praeger Publishers, and I like most of their titles. I haven't read Towards Genuine Global Governance and I haven't familiarized myself with Bridging Worlds Through Democratic World Federation, or whatever the globalist organisation it is that displays the two-worlds graphic that's on your site. Actually, I like the graphic.

There are globalists and there are globalists, afterall. I think I have an idea where David Ray Griffin is coming from. Before I discovered Dialectical Materialism, I was a Methodist seminarian and even at one point considered transferring to the quite liberal seminary connected to Claremont College, where Dr Griffin taught. Dr Griffin, in my opinion, is a very ethical and well-meaning individual whose ideas regarding human society are about as progressive as is possible for one who is not a thoroughly consistent materialist.

I would certainly rather see a global government modeled on the U.S. Constitutional system than war-mongering political states that are headed away from that ideal system and on the road toward fascism, which is afterall a nationalist phenomenon.

I do believe that the progressive globalists (and I believe Dr Griffin and the co-thinkers you named in your article are such) fall far short of a thoroughly progressive analysis. For one thing, they ignore the fact that the economic system on which most nation states are based is the system of wage-slavery, in which the majority have severely limited rights and in which the privileges accorded to wealth give them infinitely greater access to power over production, ecology, and social planning in general. The social formations that currently rule over regions of the world and world markets are hopelessly corrupt and largely criminal. The United Nations, in its current form, is little more than a "den of thieves" (Lenin's phrase for its predecessor, reflecting the League of Nations' function as a ministry of the colonial powers).

What globalists of the left and right equally miss is the distinction to be made between nations as political entities and nations as ethnic entities. What's wrong with abolishing individual political states if ethnic nations can be preserved? Would a single world polity necessarily be a despotic state in which the citizens would not be represented? Is it really far-fetched to imagine a world republic based on a living constitution?

Of course, no combination of wage-slaving neo-colonialists and well-meaning idealists will ever bring about a world republic where citizens will have equal rights and responsibilities. This can only be done by those who are now denied the fruits of their labor and are preyed upon by the aforenamed despotic parasites, but who nevertheless hold the potential economic power in their hands and need only to be made conscious of their historical mission to unite in struggle and liberate themselves. Tyranny has always been the product of those who seek to retain their ill-gotten privileges against the hopes and the well-being of the great majority.

Yes, there are globalists of the fascist stripe. There are real global fascist organisations -- see, for instance, The Rightweb Group Watch. The global tyrants are, however, still nationalist and tied to individual nations, although they co-operate and pool their resources through the blatantly global fascist organisations and many others, such as the G8 Summit and the World Bank. Without sufficient evidence, I don't think it's at all useful to number Dr David Ray Griffin among these: to suggest that his analysis is so convincing in its detail because he is in consultation and collusion with the real terrorists is groundless slander and oversteps the bounds of good manners.

You pose some interesting, if not idealistic questions. I gather from your point of view, globalists can be sub-defined by "intension". This leaves us with the concept of "good globalist" vs. "bad globalist" policies?

This reminds me of a scene from "The Wizard of Oz". Glinda asks Dorothy ... "are you a good witch or a bad witch"? Let’s not forget that this question is being asked by a witch and remains irrelevant to the “man behind the curtain”, an effective analogy for the globalist question.

IMHO, no matter what color you paint on the globalist movement, the outcome will always be the same ... geo-economic slavery.

A "good globalist" policy still offers an equal amount of wiggle room for "bad globalist" policy and visa versa. It’s a loaded game and the only winning move ... is not to play at all.

Actually, I told Fintan and others about Griffin's globalist agenda in October - of 2004, one year ago - on my website (in my reply to Griffin's letter at http://mysite.verizon.net/vze25x9n/id25.html ) where the same book Fintan cites to now is actually quoted from & where you'll find more info about Griffin's globalist goals (as well as a discussion on good globalist v. bad globalist which was brought up in one of the comments below Fintan's piece.) David Ray Griffin has indicated that his "major project at present is, in fact, to develop a theology for a new world order . . .” For more details see link to my site above. Now ordinarily, I wouldn't point out that this information was on my site previously since who cares where information comes from if the information is accurate, & it's a good thing when such info is disseminated far & wide. Here I point it out though because Fintan fingered my website as one of the CIA Internet Fakes without ever offering any reasons for doing so & here's just another blatant example really of him taking the same line on things that I do in spite of that CIA label he gave me. (Another example would be his pointing to those that promote fake 911 whistleblower Sibel Edmonds as cia internet fakes when I have previously, at great length and effort, spelled out why she's fake & shouldn't be promoted, which can be found at my site.) When Fintan's CIA Internet Fake article first came out, I emailed Fintan on 8/5/05 with the subject heading "examples please", asking him in essence to put up or shut up:
