Police Showed Solidarity With Protesters as They Were Arrested
Peace Activists Arrested at Crawford for Standing on the Side of the Road
Prison Planet | November 23 2005
Elliot Adams of Veterans For Peace appeared on The Alex Jones Show today and passed on some positive news in the light of today's attack on the First Amendment where peaceful protesters were arrested in Crawford Texas.
Adams said that as the protesters were being taken away many police officers gave them the peace sign as a show of solidarity.
Also, when protesters were previously arrested and fingerprinted in Washington DC, police made it clear that they support the cause of the protesters.
This is extremely welcome news as it tells us that the loyal enforcers of the would-be dictators aren't buying the propaganda either and are coming over to our side.
The elite need the vast majority of the police and military under their control. Any dissent in the ranks is disastrous for them. After all, how can there be a war if nobody turns up to fight it?
"Many gave us a peace symbol as they left," stated Adams.
"I think times are changing I see it all throughout law enforcement. When we were in DC some of the officers who were fingerprinting people for the arrests on 26th as they lowered each finger they said, 'keep doing it.' So I see breaks within the structure because it's clear that what we're seeing is very unconstitutional and it's not what anybody in America believes in.
"These are not the principles that we've fought for in the past, these are not the principles that we've beloved."
"Even the officials are seeing it. They may be stuck in their jobs but they cannot support what's happening."

Infowars.com spoke with Karen Bernal, Volunteer Coordinator at the the Crawford Peace House who confirmed that the arrests began at around 9:30 AM this morning. Hadi Jawad co-founder of the Peace House tells us that 15 people were arrested, including Daniel Ellsberg and Dede Miller, Cindy Sheehan's sister.
Three months ago, McLennan County Texas passed an unconstitutional ordinance banning parking or standing on hundreds of miles of rural roadway. This is the equivalent of a giant free speech ban, mirroring similar freedom destroying free speech zones used across the country to stop protestors from getting information to the media.
This is a despicable attack on the First Amendment deep in the heart of Texas and needs to be challenged. We will post more information as it develops.

Protesters Arrested Near Bush's Ranch
Associated Press/ANGELA K. BROWN | November 23 2005
CRAWFORD, Texas Nov 23, 2005 — A dozen war protesters were arrested Wednesday for setting up camp near President Bush's ranch in defiance of new local bans on roadside camping and parking.
About four hours after the group pitched six tents and huddled in sleeping bags and blankets, McLennan County sheriff's deputies arrested them for criminal trespassing.
Another dozen or so demonstrators left the public right of way after deputies warned them they would be arrested.
The protest was set to coincide with Bush's Thanksgiving ranch visit.
The arrests were made by more than two dozen deputies who calmly approached the demonstrators in their tents and asked if they wanted to walk out on their own or be carried. Two chose to be carried. They were to be taken to jail for booking.
Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan wasn't among the protesters Wednesday because of a family emergency in California, but she planned to be at the camp later in the week.
"We are proud to be here," Dede Miller, Sheehan's sister, said hours before her arrest as she huddled in a blanket at the campsite. "This is just so important. What we did in August really moved us forward, and this is just a continuation of it."
In August, hundreds of demonstrators camped off the road during a 26-day protest led by Sheehan, whose 24-year-old soldier son Casey was killed in Iraq last year. But a month later, county commissioners banned camping in any county ditch and parking within 7 miles of the ranch, citing safety and traffic congestion issues.
Earlier this week, three demonstrators filed a federal lawsuit against McLennan County over the two local bans.
During the last several weeks of their summer protest, the activists had camped on a private 1-acre lot that a sympathetic landowner let them use. That land is about a mile from Bush's ranch.
