Daily Word - Proberbs 31:10-12

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.


Daily Recipe -

~Perfect Rice~

4 Cups Water
2 Cups White Rice
1/2 tsp Salt
In a good sized sauce pan (at least 2 quart), heat the water with the salt on High. When the water is boiling rapidly, add the rice and stir a couple of times. Turn to Low and let simmer for a couple of minutes cover with a lid. Let cook for 15-20 minutes. The rice should be expanded to about twice it's original size, and soft and fluffy! Serve steamy over stir-fry, or refridgerate and serve for breakfast with cinnimon, butter and stevia!



Object Lesson -

Salt raises the boiling point, which makes water boil harder. Now, remember how you are doing really well in the midst of hard times? You are making it, so far... Then just a little salt and there you are just boiling rapidly... Sometimes we take things so seriously, not because they hurt all that bad, but because we've been building up steam. We think "I can do this!" and then all it takes is that friend saying "You know, you really could do this better..." and we've had enough! I would like to encourage you right now to think of this a different way - Let God put some rice in before you boil over! Let the starches soak up all your problems and make all your cares into fluffy dreams. There are so many things to do, and we can get carried away in thinking "I can do this!" but God is right here and ready to turn your hurts into perfect joy!
