Devising the plan of attack! by #35527 .....

Laying the groundwork is an important step. The plan has to be flexible enough to work, yet solid enough to yield the intended results.

I am thinking about how I want to do this fast. I have to be careful to figure out parameters that I can live with. So, often I decide that I'm going to do something and I make it so difficult that I'm doomed to fail. It's my all or nothing attitude that causes me so much grief!

My mom gave me a juicer for my birthday. I have never juiced before, but I am very interested in doing it. From what I have read, it's best to juice vegetables, as they are lower in sugar than fruits. The thought of juicing spinach is not very appealing to me, but eating fresh spinach is easy. So, I think that I will look for recipes that I think that I can handle for my juicer, and plan on eating salads with lots of greens. I want to alternate water fasting with eating/juicing.

I am worried about getting protein through this diet. In the past my weightloss as been spurred by getting a lot of protein. I may incorporated lean protein on the days that I am eating. Nothing is set in stone though. I am going to let the way my body feels and the rate of weightloss guide me.

I will experiment the rest of the week and weekend. I'm shooting for Monday or Tuesday to be my first fasting day. I will every other day after that.
