Well friends I will start jumping up to date; then going back to some of the many unusual things that made up my wonderful life....  The real world!!

Well after being down in Deep Dixie the week before last, see Southern Etiquette blog for details... Those Dixie darlings and fun in the Southland.....  I spent a week in Costa Mesa Calif...  Nice climate, about 75 F in the day time, sunny, went swimming almost every day... Thanks to the prompting of a new Calif friend....  Food was great, and for non southerners the people were super...

I will start putting some interesting facts in this blog so you can get credit for using your brain, on the "Brain Boot Camp" blog as well...   And to show how fair and balanced I am to the women of the world... A special section on "Women Traveler's"

Name the natural elements that form and shape the earth??  Of course wind, water, ice, volcanoes and earth quakes....   Which has had the greatest effect on the earth as a whole??  Which has the greatest effect on mankind in recent history as a whole??  Which has the greatest effect on the general animal population as a whole??  Look for these answers soon in this and other blogs by "kerminator"...

Now our report on female travelers...  Maintaining physical health on the road...

 1) Walking is the best all round exercise for everyone who can...  {Just have the proper walking shoes and some exercise gear... Plus plan to walk in open, public places where safety is your first consideration....}

2) Aerobic exercise is the perhaps healthiest and easiest form of exercise...  Most hotels have or provide some place for basic gym areas... Ask and seek help to be able to use these... Swimming is also an aerobic exercise available to women at many hotels... Thirty minutes three times a week will begin to build your stamina and energy levels...  And we all know that your Libido is tied to good energy levels ladies...

3) Yoga and Tai Chi: There are many forms of these exercises... They can stretch, relax,and tone muscles... The mind is refreshed also, there are many forms, refer to several Yoga blogs by 9th Body, for further details and help...

4) Plan your schedule; allow for proper rest and of course... DUH eat a well balanced diet ladies...  We will discuss diet later, remember everyone is on a diet; the question is what kind of diet??

Now back to the distant past US Navy Base Key West....   I will to include a photo of self in my younger, stud muffin days soon....

We spent our time doing the Fleet Sonar School Training....  Well one fine day, {most everyday was fine in Key West} we had finished lunch and were into our afternoon drills...  The Submarine was down hiding and we were the parameter patrol ship, while the other destroyer was seeking out the sub...  We spot a TUG and Tow {That is an ocean going Tug and a Large Barge in tow} cutting across the southern edge of the restricted submarine operating area...  So we break off and close on the target...   They were not listening on the radio...  Bad day in black rock or should I say Key West??  So we went to the signal lite..{All sea going vessels regardless of their language should understand the international code... key word is should..} Well they either did not care or just choose to ignore us....

Well we were about a mile or so off their starboard bow, when we saw an emergency red flare from the sub...  That meant that they were making an emergency assent, blowing tanks, coming up and all surface vessels were to turn away from that area....   Well we were coming hard to port, when we saw the sub come out of the water right in front of the barge....  The Tug had cut the tow line and was making full speed away...  Well we came about and ran that suc*** down in less than ten minutes...  They were shouting that the barge was full of compressed natural gas....  The name on the side  Said "Warren Gas Company Tulsa, OK"  Things got real serious right then...

What had happened was the sub not realizing the tug had entered the area, was maneuvering to avoid detection and came perpendicular to the 1500 Ft of steel cable towing the barge which was down 150 Ft so the sail in the sub caught the cabel... This threw the sub off balance, {the crew watches the trim and balance all the time and knew something was not right...}!!  Well this caused the sub to commence an emergency surface....  And that was when it came up right in front of the gas bardge...   Not your preferred method of operation.... DUH!!

Well GOD was with us that day, the sub received slight deck plate damage, the Tug was taken in by the Coast Guard and a very large explosion was averted...  Thank GOD...

 More on the adventures of the road of my life....  Stay tuned... I told you my life was different!!
