My original intention was to keep this entry solution-focused. However, I am currently at work and right in the midst of a stressful moment.

Why write in the blog now, why not wait until post-stress, you wonder?

Well, dealing with life's stresses in a way that will not impact my overall health is especially important right now. Basically, sometimes a person needs to VENT, and that's basically what I'm doing here. Hopefully forming the seedlings of some positive transformation in the process.

Simply put, sometimes my job is stressful. New situations, and behaviors and statements of coworkers that are unneccessary, inappropriate, and downright rude cause me to have an instant stress reaction sometimes. Like tonight...

Luckily, I have a new supervisor who is supportive and understanding.

I sometimes don't know how I have the patience and resilience to stay at this job. It's not what I pictured myself doing while I was in college working so hard to get my degree.

This job does not challenge me in a positive way and for the most part does not utilize the professional skills I learned in college.

I suppose that ultimately I can make a choice to get a different job. Lord knows I've tried. Even a different job within this same company would be a welcome change.
When it's meant to happen, it will happen. I just need to keep doing the footwork.

And this is exactly why I created my private business that I mention here and there throughout this blog. I created the business back in April, and my goal is to eventually market and develop it to the point that it generates enough income to support me, and my daughter's college expenses, so I can reduce my regular job work schedule to the point where I am a part time relief worker only.

I'm not going to go into specific detail about current job stress events, as the current stressor will pass. I must learn from it, and find new ways to not react in the moment and keep my body and mind calm throughout.

It's great if there's a chance to meditate while at work. Due to a client-centered environment, that's not always possible.

Thanks for listening to me while I toss around ideas!

And blessings to all of you.
