Vibr8 drives to Greeley, Colorado, meets VIBE Machine inventor, and tries the VIBE Machine for the first time.

So I made an appointment with Gene Koonce, inventor of the VIBE Machine, and set out that Tuesday morning in mid-October for Greeley, Colorado, not really knowing exactly what to expect.
What I found when I arrived at my destination was an electronics repair shop, full of large television sets. I proceeded to the service counter and spoke to the woman there. She directed me to the far right side of the repair shop, where there was a small waiting room created in a wide hallway leading to a few offices and a back room. There was a tall and deep shelf unit on the wall opposite me. Several articles about the VIBE Machine were there for people to peruse or take. There was also a colorful profusion of CDs, labeled as free for the taking. These were actually CDs of the radio interview I had listened to and been so inspired by the previous Sunday on the way home from Vail (see my prior BLog entry). I was happy to see this CD and was encouraged to take a few of these if I wanted to.
Gene Koonce came out of his office next to the waiting area to greet me. I spoke with him for a brief time, during which he inquired as to my general state of health and gave me more information about the VIBE Machine and the process he went through to create it. Fascinating. Each person who takes an interest in the machine should definitely meet with Gene on their own, as my experience would be entirely different from yours. After my meeting with Gene, I was invited to try the VIBE Machine, which was in the room next to his office. After reviewing my health condition and talking with me, he recommended 3.5 minutes for my first session.
Then I proceeded to the VIBE room, a dark, relaxing room with comfortable wooden chairs and a couch. I was advised to drink some spring water, available in a dispenser within the room. I did so. Then I was given two gold-colored coils with ball bearings inside, and given a choice to hold them during my session if I wanted to. I was told they were helpful in conducting the energy and grounding the session. I decided to use the coils. I was told to hold the ball bearing end away from my body on the right side, and towards my body on the left side. I was also told to take off my shoes, keep both feet on the ground, and to leave electronic items such as cell phone outside the room. Additionally, people with pacemakers cannot use the VIBE Machine at all. It can interfere with the functioning of small electronic items.
And then my session started. The machine buzzed for 30 seconds and then turned off. I felt meditative and relaxed. I breathed in and out and focused on goals I wanted to attain health-wise. I especially focused on the diabetes diagnosis I had received from my doctor the previous Friday. Since the VIBE Machine was supposed to affect me on a cellular level, I did my best to think of this diagnosis I had been given on a cellular level. I envisioned my my cells being whole and healthy, functioning perfectly, and my inner organs all functioning perfectly together. I envisioned my blood being healthy and flowing unimpeded. I pictured my life force (many call it "chi") flowing around my body. I envisioned balance both within and outside of my being.
Although it was a brief session, I found myself in a surprisingly deep meditative state when someone came in to tell me my session was over. I remember feeling grateful to have found this place and this machine.
The 100 mile drive back home was pleasant. I thought about what I would do to take care of myself and deal with blood sugar issues naturally and without pharmaceutical medicine if possible.
I felt a huge amount of energy, and it was real energy, not just that spurt of artificial energy you get when you down an espresso drink. I felt huge amounts of extra energy for the next few days. I can only attribute that to the VIBE Machine. As per Gene's instructions, I drank as much pure water as possible. l gallon per day is recommended. I was not able to drink quite that much but drank 8 or more glasses per day.
I utilized my vacation time and the newfound spurt of energy to do intensive research about natural approaches to diabetes. What I read repeatedly everywhere was that diet and exercise are key in getting the body back into balance and normalizing blood sugar levels.
I began to do that, adjusting my diet, and starting with a simple exercise program: daily walking. I still do that today, months later. I have gradually increased my walking as my energy has incrementally increased.
I get tempted by some foods, especially chocolate, and sometimes give in to the temptation, but I don't let slip-ups veer me from the path of healing that I'm on.
A few days after my first VIBE session I travelled to Greeley again for a second session. I will write about that tomorrow.
I still look back fondly on that sunny day in October when I first experienced the VIBE Machine.
