Archetypically the orphan is the most vunerable, and soft, sore spot. We are claiming our Orphan Archetype; loving and healing it every Tuesday at 7pm at Midtown church.

Dear Circle of Friends,
Class 6 shifted us into an experiential mode that moved us into a deeper connection with each other through the dance, sharing and touching. After six classes we are moving into the kind of trust and intimacy that will be a permanent part of our Tuesday night space. For some of you there have been moments when you were beyond your comfort zone or even questioning what we are digging up with the Orphan. Thanks for staying with yourself and the group through the process.
As we move into two more weeks on the Orphan, it is apparent to Wendy and I that the other ego-forming archetypes are wanting to show up to balance the energies that the Orphan brings up. We are suggesting that you look at Chapter 18 with emphasis on p 241 (childhood) and the chart on page 255 (preparation). We will probably be doing an experience with the Divine Child motif, one of the most potent universal mythologies.
People we missed in class are Sarah, Kelly, Julia, Jeffrey and Claudia, Kristin, Laura, Andrea and Duke. Hope to see you this Tuesday.
A few reminders:
1. We will be in an open room from now on.. bring a pillow to sit on or a blanket to lay on for the meditation if you want. (You may still use chairs if you wish)
2. Please buy the book and do the reading.. it's only a chapter a month. Our aim as teachers is to give you an experience in the class, not to intellectually re-hash what is in the book.
3. There will be discussions each week on how an archetype is manifesting in your own life. We will be asking for focused sharing about your process in small groups. This is where you bring a value to the class that Wendy and I can't offer.
4. To engage yourself more fully we encourage journaling, creative artwork or writing, There are good exercises at the end of each chapter. The clothes you wear to class can also bring more body awareness into your experience. Of course prayer and meditation are always recommended as a grounding spiritual practice. Slow it down and take some time for yourself.
5. Since you have engaged in a spiritual growth process, please remember to be extra kind, loving, and compassionate to yourself. Call Wendy or I if you need support. We are happy to talk with you, and if you desire, we are available to also schedule personal sessions if you are needing some individual work.
