Deep Within the Seed - The Blossom
Your Heart's Desire is like a seed just waiting
to blossom. It's already there, it just needs some
time and nurturing to grow.
Imagine that... your Heart's Desire is already there
like the blossom just waiting to open with the warmth
of the sun.
So what makes our Heart's Desire blossom?
Our Essence - Our Spirit guides the seed to its
full blossom. For you see there is a universal energy,
a Source, that guides the Essence of who we really are
into Being.
All we need to do is tap into this Source and allow it to
nurture the seed and our Heart's Desires will unfold - naturally.
Lets take a look at how this really does work in our every
day lives...
A real life story
About a year ago at one of our Retreats, I had the
privilege to share the Opening Your Heart to Love
evening with a small intimate group of 16 people. It
was an evening I will always remember. I would like
to share a bit of this memory with you.
Nurturing the seed to experience its blossoming
It was a cold winter evening and we had carefully
stoked the fire with lots of wood and kindling. There
was a faint scent of pine cones in the air as you entered
into the room, and the fire was warm and inviting.
The candles were glowing and there was soft music
playing in the background... People began to settle into
the circle of chairs we had made around the fire.
Our intimate circle felt like "home".
As we began to introduce ourselves to eachother, I
recall one lady in particular who shared with us that
she did not know why she came to the evening circle.
Her name was Mary.
Mary was certain that her Heart was closed, and she
told us it had been closed for many years. Mary sadly
shared with us that she was sure nothing would be able
to open her Heart again, for she had tried just about
everything with no such luck. She had lost all hope.
Mary asked "Why me?"
The evening seemed to carry a bit of magic in the air...
as each person gently surrendered to the relaxed
atmosphere and the intimacy that was building within
the circle... even Mary was beginning to relax.
Soon it was time to experience the gentle meditation
designed to open the Heart and allow love in. About 3
quarters of the way through the meditation Mary began
to cry and her tears began to drop to the floor. Her
tears were tears of joy coming from the very depth
of her Heart.
"I can feel again" she shouted
Mary was radiant and her face glowed for miles,
and her smile lit up the entire room. She looked
like a different person.
Self Love: The greatest gift of all
As Mary left that evening, she placed her hands
over her Heart, and she told us that for the first
time in years she was able to feel Love in her Heart...
not only the love of each person in the room that
evening, but her own self - love... which is the
greatest gift of all.
Mary's words were shared with tears of joy as she
told us that for most of her life she believed she was
lost, undeserving of love and never good enough.
And what a cold and lonely feeling that left in her
Heart until now...
Letting Love In...
Mary gifted not only herself that evening... but she
gifted each of us as well. We saw the courage it took
to walk into the room feeling closed and unsure of
herself, and we felt the depth of her sadness as she
held a shield around her Heart.
And we felt the joy when she opened her Heart and
allowed love in. We shared in her blossoming.
Mary's courage to share her story and avail herself
to yet another hopeful chance to open her Heart gave
everyone else the courage to do the same. And as
the tears rolled down Mary 's face, each one of us
cried our own tears as well.
A liberating moment of true freedom was felt by each of
us. We were blessed with a gift that evening. There is
something so special and so healing when we open our
Hearts to Love. Love is a wonderfully healing energy.
As I reflect back on that evening, I recall words that
have always brought me comfort...
"Trust your Heart... Your Heart will never fail you...
for it is the source of your life"
Do not ask "Why" but ask "How"
"No bird can fly without opening its wings,
and no one can love without opening their
Heart"
