Guess what happened at Midtown Spiritual Community Today?

In service this morning we had the enormous treat of Steve Coopers "Path of the Buddha" ancient mystical production "experience". What a treat! What a person and teacher he is. I will be just like him, (but me), when I grow up! I will do great things with his teaching. Mild mannered, unconditional love, humbleness, sweetness, teacher, mythologian, creating in the moment-skillful practitioner!
I enjoyed myself so fully, and became so engrossed in the pageantry, the musicians, the global heart choir, Val Cooper's lovely solos...I grinned and meditated and lived in that moment-so impressed was I! I cannot say enough about this experiential learning methodology.
This will have something to do with my unfolding-so deeply does this resonate with me-it is already part of me, it is already mine, it lays deep within my being and ignites my aliveness~His creations ignite mine. I am swept up by the primal resonation-it engrosses my spirit and my fascination~my 'all consuming' curiosity! Steve's creations unfold and tickle all my senses ESPECIALLY the superannuated- which is very natural for a spiritual community who "visions" for it's future. I am joyfully enamored! I am learning "process" from the master creator.
Steve tells us that he sits down in his studio, puts his feet up ~ opens to "all that is", and that is him-working! What a joy to work with such ease, eh? He creates musicals, training, workshops, etc. He is no accident-our paths have crossed for my pleasurable education.
The Path was originally created 8 years ago as a school age performance explaining religious tolerance and spiritual enfoldment. Deepak Chopra narrated with Steve and Val to make a CD of the Buddha. Our Global Heart choir sang several of Steve and Val's original compositions, Val sang her solo's, Steve conducted the musicians, and the choir-Angela and Phil narrated the story of " the illumitree and the middle path" with little children dancing and drumming! Be still my beating heart!
It was spiritual theater. We should sell tickets! The personal experience of this same story-that is, the birth the buddha within ourselves occurs every Tuesday at Midtown Spiritual Community at 7-9 pm for a $10.00 love donation for 5 more weeks-Don't miss it if you are in San Diego-give yourself a treat... experience the divine Buddha in you via the ancient mystical experiment!
