People have told me that when they experience a healing at my miracle healing events, they feel as if they are being pushed over. One person likened it to a fire-hose being turned on against his chest. But what really happens? Is it some illusion; some placebo effect; or is there some unseen force that causes healing to instantly occur through simple touch?

The term "simple touch" is not really accurate, but to the casual observer that seems to be what is happening. However, during these events, in order to get to that point when a person is "touched" – that the healing energy actually causes healing to occur (to varying degrees) – I take people through a process that is ancient in nature. First there is a gathering of like-minded people. Next, my volunteers and I provide an environment that is pleasing – we play music, burn incense, light candles, etc. We do a light meditation. We chant the Gayatri Mantra and the Lord's Prayer. On occasion we have people sing Alleluia. Most importantly, I explain to those gathered how they can participate in the healing. The reason we set the stage is so that the people who come can get past their rational or personality mind, through their subconscious mind, and touch upon their soul mind or contemplative mind - ever so briefly.

Having been exposed to my father¹s work for just about as long as I can remember, I have witnessed many incredible things over the years. I have had first-hand experience of both the laying-on-of-hands healing and the Deep Trance Meditation. Over the years, I have seen hundreds of people come into our home(s) to experience these phenomena for themselves. Growing up in this very unconventional way has made for a very interesting ­ though by no means easy ­ life.

A few years ago I made the conscious decision to join my parents in their work, rather than remain a casual observer on the periphery. Essentially my role has been to organize. My first major task was to research and compile the material for the book, Secrets of Life. This involved composing questions on various topics related to spirituality, which I subsequently posed to my father while he was in the Deep Trance Meditation state. Each session was tape recorded, and each tape was transcribed. The result was several hundred pages of material in Q&A format, which I spent the next few months editing and organizing into something that would be easier to read. The purpose was to produce something that could articulate our spiritual beliefs as we have come to understand them from 30 years of working with this resource.

About the same time as Secrets of Life was being printed, my father was being guided to take his laying-on-of hands spiritual healing out into the public. The first venue for this was at Unity Church in London, Ontario. I had seen and felt laying-on-of-hands healing on many occasions, but nothing I had experienced could compare to what happened at the church. I am very pragmatic ­ and some would say skeptical ­ so when I saw the first people go up to the front of the church for healing from my father and they fell down, my initial reaction was that these people were being a bit carried away. I was thinking, ³Oh, come on.² However, my opinion quickly changed as one after another after another after another had the same reaction. People were falling back ­ some as rigid as a board, some just collapsing as if their limbs had melted away beneath them. I had to experience this for myself.

To say that it was a life-changing experience is an understatement. My father stood about a foot in front of me. I was pushed backwards by some unseen force. When I woke up ­ having no idea how much time had passed ­ I felt energy swirling through my abdomen (which is where I had asked it to go). 80% of the abdominal pain I had been experiencing was instantly gone. For the rest of the night I was filled with an incredible feeling of happiness and joy. Over the next few days, as the feelings subsided, the remaining pain in my stomach disappeared.

Since that day I have witnessed hundreds of people experiencing this phenomenon for themselves. The power never ceases to amaze me. I have seen deaf people regain their hearing. I have seen people in wheelchairs get up and walk. I have seen grown men weep like children, releasing the emotional demons that hold them back from being well. My sincere belief in what we are doing and my humble prayer that we are improving the lives of others is my motivation for continuing with these events ­ events which I am funding from our own resources.

Anyone who has been to one of our public events has no doubt seen me tucked away in some inconspicuous place, observing the action, and monitoring the sound system. I am in charge of setting up the equipment, as well as playing the music that accompanies the healings and the meditation. I believe the role of music is an important one in healing. Although over the past months, I have become the sound engineer by default, but it is a job I thoroughly enjoy. As a student of the arts, I find this technical stuff to be quite a challenge, as evidenced by my occasional anxious moments when the equipment doesn¹t do what it should. I try to keep it in perspective ­ if the microphones, speakers, or CD players malfunction, the event still goes on. Thank you to all who have assisted and guided me along the way. With each public event, we get better and better.
