They say is a virtue,

It certainly is demonstrated with beautiful accuracy in this video clip.

California metro areas , like New York, has some of the most challenging traffic...we spend hours in traffic, wondering who has damaged themselves up ahead of us. Just to find out that no one has...it's just the simple matter of too many cars entering the saem freeway at the same time...even with metered lights.

Thos of you who don't live in the city, may have never experienced a metered light- there are "stop lights" upon entering the freeway that only allow 1-2 cars to merge onto the freeway..every 4-10 sections...This is supposed to slow down gridlock.

I can't imagine that they originally predicted this would eliminate gridlock...must've been BEFORE they installed the system.

The thing with CALTRANS by the time they actually finish any project it is already obsolete..we need more bigger faster OR less people OR...drum roll...public transportation that actually has connectors that deliver the work a day worlds to the major employment grids.

YEP, it's hard tobelieve such an options escaped the city builders, as a matter of fact, it did not...We had an entire trolly system in the 1900's -but we tore it out!

One can still see the tracks under the blacktop...and just to set the record all the way straight...

We are rebuliding them now.

They cost a lot more than they did the first time around
