This is a newsletter from a fellow named Paul Bauer, his business is called "Dreams Alive" and I believe it is a software program(s) that keep your intentions present adn in focus so you can manifest. Regardless, his e-mailed newsletter is very personal and akin to a blog.

"As long as you are wishing
for things to change, they ne'ver will"
- Buddhist Teaching
"Wishing For Change"
She spoke softly as she shared these words with me...
"One of the most powerful Buddhist teachings is that as long
as you are wishing for things to change, they nev'er will"
After my father passed away, a wonderful lady named Sara who
worked for the hospice that took care of my Dad was moved to
share a book with me called "When Things Fall Apart - Heart
Advice for Difficult Times" by Pema Chodron.
I had heard of Pema and I found the book at my local bookstore
and I sat down to review it...
What I found in that beautiful book helped me through one of
the most difficult times in my life. Even though we all knew that
my Dad would pass, when that actual day occurred, it hit all of
us deeper than we expected...
Have you had this experience?
Just when you think you've got your life "under control", things
seem to "fall apart". Jobs disappear, loved ones pass away,
business drops, health declines... All sorts of things "pop up"
that you didn't expect. But somewhere along the line, we learn
that letting go of the "known" and entering into the next stage
in our evolution (the unknown) is destined.
The State Of Impermanence
If there's one thing I've learned these past several years with the
passing of my father, brother and best pup of 17 years is the
state of Impermanence. Impermanence means that nothing
ever lasts forever, in fact the more attached we are to things
staying the same, the more we will create a state of suffering
in our lives.
Impermanence is a state of flux - where things are in constant
movement. That's the way the Universe works. Some days
you experience bliss, others you feel down (or even loss).
Even if we begin our authentic journey, and we need to let
go of some old behaviors or habits, the subconscious part
that's driving that behavior in many cases resists - holds on,
(frequently for dear life).
Because it's doing what it thinks it's supposed to do.
As these "old parts" of us begin to fade and dissolve, many
people experience a feeling of loss - grief of the old "part"
leaving us - whether we wanted that part or not. Remember
the old phrase "old habits die hard"? It's quite literal for many
of us as we notice that the old part begins to leave.
A New Way To See
A new way to view the departure of the old part is that only
the pain that it brought you is leaving. It's wisdom and it's
positive intent for you remains. In other words, the intent of
our subconscious programs (whether we realize it or not)
is to protect us and keep us safe.
The problem comes in when we try to grow - these old
programs are still running - doing what they were told to do,
keep us safe - and in many cases these programs stop us
dead in our tracks - thinking that they are doing what's best
for us (avoiding more pain).
But safety isn't an issue when you want to grow.
Who you really are at the Soul level is...
And why you are on this planet and what your Life Purpose is.
So what do you do when you want to grow, but you can feel
the inner resistance?
Breathe into the resistance - make friends with it, listen to
it and ask for its help. In other words stop trying to "get rid of
it" - because the more you resist it, the more it will "dig its
heels in" even deeper and do what it was told to do - protect
you for "dear life".
Imagine these resistant parts of you like a young child - a
child so brilliant - so smart that it will do anything to protect
you. This child does not think logically, it just feels. And it
knows one thing - and knows it well.
It loves you so much, it will do anything in its power to keep
the vow (agreement) that it promised you many years back
(due to a trauma, event or incident that hurt you deeply)
to protect you from.
It will do anything to protect you from this pain again, until
you help it understand that it's holding you back and you
do want to grow.
Here's what you can do...
Embrace these "resistant" parts:
The parts that hold you back from:
Attracting more mon'ey
Speaking to groups
Changing careers to do one you Love to do
Starting a new business
Writing your new book
Beginning your workout program
Finding new friends who support your vision
Moving outside your comfort zone
Remember today's quote:
As long as you are wishing
for things to change, they nev'er will"
Tune-in to your Heart's wisdom, let go of the resistance
(avoidance of the present moment) and breathe into what
you are experiencing. As you do, the old patterns will begin
to dissolve - only when you are present.
So today my friend, feel your feelings, breathe into any
feelings of "I'm not getting what I want", "I want more", "I wish
for more" and become the observer of your thoughts, feelings
and reactions.
As you do, you will fr'ee yourself in ways you've ne'ver imagined.
And So It Is...

Paul
