new book and some thoughts

I've received a wonderful book called Conscious Conception. It is perhaps a blessing because I needed the mental boost today. My husband and I needed an infusion of faith and belief. I need to go to church this week for confession so I made a special appointment with the pastor. He was happy to oblige which is quite a switch from the priests in New York! Anyway, I am irritated with myself for not attending church every week, it's only an hour after all. I wish my husband would want to go more then I'd be more enthusiastic about going. I don't want to be the typical old bitty, going to church while the husband stays home.

What does this have to do with conception? A lot. It is about nurturing dreams and projects within and then actualising them just like a baby. I used to buy fitness magazines hoping that one day I'd look like the models. I'd get mean and jealous of girls betting looking than myself. I didn't consciously conceive the desire, the plan to be the best looking woman I was meant to be. So this is my reading project for this week... Conscious Conception.

Things on my conscious conception list:

1. attending church faithfully once a week
2. saying the rosary faithfully at least once per week
3. keeping a clean home
4. paying off debts
5. spending quality time with my husband

- These are in order of importance. God comes first. If it wasn't for God, I would not be here.
