How can we help ourselves give up bad habits, like eating junk food? by FlyingSwan .....
This is all about the Law of Attraction and Positive Thinking. It is best to align your energies in one direction and have lots of self-love and gratitude for who you are.

Become aware of your body's needs and bring to the surface belief systems that may no longer be serving you. Many people quite often eat when they are actually feeling dehydrated and require a drink of water.
A good place to start changing one's habits around food is to sip a small amount of water every 20 minutes or so. This is like watering a plant; if you give a plant a lot of water at once it mostly flows out of the bottom of the pot. However, if you give it a little, quite often, the soil absorbs the water.
Water can also help to make us look younger as, when we are fully hydrated, the body's skin becomes full and smooth; wrinkles disappear; and the water also helps our kidneys to flush out toxins.
Having an awareness of self-love and gratitude, can also have a positive effect on the water within our body, and help to rebalance our energies and bring about natural healing.
Junk food is quick and simple but often involves a trip to a fast food takeaway or other shop. A switch to healthy eating starts with what we bring home from the shops: if it is not in the fridge, we cannot eat it.
When selecting food, choose live foods – i.e. fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meats and fish. When one eats mainly fresh vegetables, the food is easier to digest and contains more natural nutrients and trace elements than tinned or ready meals.
In spring and summer, imagine what it would be like to have a fresh fruit smoothie. Just imagine the flavours bursting in the mouth; feel the life force entering the body with each sip.
Do you love yourself enough to think of all the benefits you would experience if you treated yourself to fresh, wholesome foods? When you have fresh foods you can eat plenty of them; so you feel full and happy, knowing your body is getting a balanced diet.
Can you love yourself enough to take the time to prepare balanced, healthy food? Can you give yourself permission to love the process so all your good vibes go into the food as you prepare it? Can you think of friends you can invite around to enjoy the meal with you? By sharing your skills and creativity with others you also improve your social life.
Can you love yourself enough to listen to the inner voice, which tells you when you have eaten enough and to put your knife and fork down? The difference between feeling comfortable or bloated is only one or two mouthfuls.
Can you love yourself enough to leave a little room within yourself for your digestive system to do its work easily without being overloaded?
Please spend the next few days thinking of all the things you can make with fresh fruit and vegetables, and with small quantities of other, high protein foods, to create a balanced diet you would enjoy eating. I can already hear your taste buds singing with anticipation.
