Distant Healing is the energy of Love which is channelled from the healer's heart centre to the requesting person. Opening your heart to this energy, and relaxing and becoming aware of your feelings, really does help in the process.
Receiving healing is the opposite of trying. Trying implies effort and focus; healing works best if you are relaxed and open, with a quiet mind.
If you become aware of any fear or tension in the body, take your attention to that area. If you feel fear and are having strong negative thoughts in your mind, scan your body and look for tension, take your awareness down to the level of your feelings, and consciously breathe into that area.
You may feel this tension as dark shadows; as you consciously breathe into that area, you feel the light flowing in, and the whole area becoming lighter and more alive.
Quite often, it can be those dark shadows of tension that are the root cause of the imbalance.
It is like allowing all the boundaries to melt away; you feel your awareness expanding and growing in balance and harmony at the same time.
It helps also to use forgiveness in this process and to take personal responsibility for your life. When we stop blaming others, we bring our energy back to ourselves and bring our life back into balance.

I am sure some people feel the warmth growing in their hearts from the love which is being beamed to them. However, I am also sure that no two people will have the same experience, as we are all unique.
I feel it is better that you look deep within your own heart for the answers. Look for any recurring dreams that you keep putting off, or any unfulfilled desire which just will not go away.
Quite often, dis-ease comes from having blocked energy flows. Life has to flow like water running down to the ocean and, if we are aware of what we should be doing but keep holding back, this is a recipe for gaining stuck energy or stagnant water.
Open yourself up to the whole universe: embrace your Dark Side and accept it as a part of your Self; this Dark Side defines the good and healthy aspects of life. To be truly happy and healthy you will expand into wholeness and balance.
The most important thing is to love yourself and go for what brings joy and happiness into your life. Do not resist change, because it is through change that we grow and evolve.
Look out for new experiences, go to new places and meet new people. Expand your area of influence and flow your energy in new directions. This is what brings living to life.
