Listened to Soap Box Speech last night from
a close friend about Live Earth,
the seven continent splurge of energy
that lit up a lot of lightbulbs
last weekend, July 7.

Was it a good use of energy
or a waste?

I really was more in agreement
with her than disagreement about what she was
saying. The shifts in habits calling for
a really deep shift in consciousness away
from our material lifestyles.

I guess she was angry about other underlying things
and just had some late night energy she wanted to
express.

John, of the Essene School of thought Tapes
pointed out that Music has always been the a tool
for advancing Cultural Shifts in Consciousness.
On that Note, I feel that concerts--with Mesages
can raise Consciousenss, especially among the young
who can feel a lot of hope from such positive gatherings.
I did look in a bit. I did see a lot of Hope Being Rekindled
in a age when it is easy to feel "What is the Use?"

From this story I read here,
it seems that numbers of the Performers who
coming clean about their own environmental practices,
while a number I saw--during the few minutes
I iistened in--were models of doing the right thing
by the environment.

I do feel that if the ones who participated go green
and greener, this will be a positive result from Earth Alive!

I agree with my friend--
we are only scratching the surface when we ask
ourselves to make little shifts in habits,
such as changeing light bulbs or unplugging appliances
when not in use;

But the underlying Call--and Pledges can have far reaching
results in Raising Awareness:

Here is a Review of what Earth Alive was asking
