This strawberry--or facsimile greeting me atop the morning salad they put out for Breakfast in the Garden. I was so stunned by its lack of quality that I had to take the photo.

Went to Breafast in the Garden
at the Del Mar Fair Opening Day.

This was the commercially grown strawberry that greeted me!!!

It was right on top of the Fruit Salad!!!

This Fair is run by the Ag District.

Can you imagine having this berry represent
your Image???

Who grew this?
Where did it come from?
What was someone thinking when they put it on the plate?

If I had time, I would have Whole Foods Sponsored the Fruit Salad
for the next Breakfast in the Garden set for June 23 or so!!!

Commercial strawberries are one of the most common foods
laden with pesticides.

I wish I had a portable testing kit with me.

Compare this with a Joe the Farmer Berry.
