L to R: Janice Duvall works down at the SD Board of Ed.
The two helpers also work with her on the Green Machine,
an innovative vehicle that goes out almost every day to
help kids in SD understanding how food goes from seed to plate.

Janice and team showed how to make Tire Gardens
at the Gardening with Class Conference.

I gave Janice some fruit from Noel Stehly and Job's Tears.

The lady on the right is Ely, a friend of Pablo,
a muralist I wanted to remeet. Ely recognized me
from the night I met Delores Huerta. I had already
taken her photo.

This whole time was like walking through a dream.

I already had connections although it was all unknown
to me that they existed before I went down there today.

It felt like an Appointment with Destiny.
I could hardly contain myself.

Janice said that working with the Tire Gardens was
good for ADD. She was right. As soon as I started to make one
and use physical energy, I calmed down. I was so very excited!!!

Kindergarden Teacher!

This delightful Teacher was making a Tire Garden
at the Gardening with Class Conference today.

I did not ask her name.

She recognized me.

About a month ago, she was at a meeting I attended
down at the Board of Education.

She won the Job's Tears I offered.

She is a Kindergarden Teacher.

I asked her if she had any children of her own.

Not yet.

She wanted some.

I asked her if she had planted the Job's Tears yet.

She said she was waiting until she got the money
from the State. I told her to plant the seeds now.

This is a used Kogard tire.

IT is turned inside out and looks like a flower
when down.

IT can be painted.

This was one of the many workshops we could attend,
making a Tire Garden.
"
I had that idea a month ago, and planted corn from
Chiapas in ours.

Job's Tears would make a wonderful plant for these
gardens. They are not intended for edibles.
