I was riding in the car yesterday
and friend Diane asked me what my skills
were as an Urban Shaman.

I have noted an ability to influence
and/or be in Sync with weather patterns,
among other trends.


May have a visit this week
from Twin Soul/Best Friend.

Here is a letter I once sent to the Mayor
of San Diego in response to her note to Clergy.

This is from my book, "Prayers to Mend the Heart"
published in 1992

Drought! No More!

April 22, 1992

Dear Clergy and friend!
Your valuable participation in the City of San Diego voluntary water
conservation program was very much appreciated...

Dear Mayor O'Connor

We have done our best to conserve water at our house through the last year's
draught. I thought maybe one of these days you and I can get together to talk
about other kinds of rain-making alternatives. I feel I have done my part.

The world looks differently today from the Earth
that will be sustained by people Loving.
You, and all women, are born to express a life force
that helps remind men how to take down ego boundaries
in the world. It is ego boundaries that make drought,
cause pain, and keep love from opening. We hold
separate what naturally comes together.

When we met, people around us for hundreeds of miles
moaned of drought. There is drought no more!
Maybe we should both put in salary requests to the water
district.

For more than ten years I have noted a consistent
relationship between the dropping of ego boundaries,
the expression of Love, and shifting weather patterns.
It's enough to make a person take a second look at the power
inherent in plants to draw rain, and the existence of
messengers of God, such as fairies and angels.

There is a common ground between joy, pleasure, and
the alleviation of drought that only the Mystic and Lover
can understand. The Mystic and Lover meet in the Enchanted
Garden.

The Enchanted Garden is a name for the Eden that can
be replanted through Love, one seed at a time.

I'm happy I can step into the garden."
