Got my signals for the Closing Ceremony
that will be Sunday, November 5
as part of the Pacific Symposium!
IT will be a FUN Schtik
playing with Jack Miller, the Prez of Pacific College
of Oriental Medicine, however brief he wants
to keep it.
The Whole group will say, "I'll drink to that!
in between my reading of key Spiritual Enchanted
Garden Spiritual Sayings such as Job's Prayer.
"Come, my friends, let us taste holy foods
forever, and grow wild baby herbs where weeds grow
while we dare to dance with water hoses!"
etc.
See Blog called Declaring Peace for more...
In between the sentences I say, Jack will
"Be theDesignated Drinker" for all of us,
imbibing/and toasting with Arrogant Bastard Ale
made by my friends at the local Stone Brewing Company
in Escondido. They are opening a New Bistro next week!
This Brief Ceremony will be a HOOT!
Chris from The Stone Brewing Company is going to
send two Arrogant Bastard Ale T-shirts next week
for a Post Ceremony back at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
The Method in My Madness:
Mugwort, the most frequently used TCM herb,
grows like a weed. Mugwort was used in making
Beer in the Middle Ages before Hops.
I want to explore using locally grown Mugwort
in an organic brew to be developed by The Stone Brewing Company.
CEO Greg Koch is a prime sponsor of local Slow Food events
and we talked a bit about growing local Barley.
Turns out that Stone Brewing Company beer is ALREADY
served in the bar at the Catamaran! SO, why not
have this be the beer of choice offered each year
at the Pac Sym party night??????
I am going to pursue Stone Brewing being one of
Your Enchanted Gardener's sponsors at next year's Pac Sym.
I am Seed Dream for local farmers to grow this crop
for The Stone Brewing Company, and also have a Student
Council supported project to have the local acupuncture
students earn funds from producing their own Moxi--
Mugwort--I have some sales already lined up from students
will will purchase the PCOM Coop made Moxa.
We will grow some of it here at the Enchanted Garden
Intentional Community TCM garden. I want to have
PCOM students come over here regularly to learn to garden
TCM herbs. This can be a class offered at the college.
Jack drives a Red Little Porche,
and actually races it. What a guy!
He loves Surfing too!
"So, where is MY Porche????"
I will say. "Where are OUR Porches???"
These TMC doctors are the Medicine of Tomorrow.
They are already "sleeping" in the same bed
with the M.D.'s so to speak--Complementary and Integrated Medicine.
More and more M.D.'s see the writing on the wall and
are integrated practices with acupuncturists.
TCM is based on an unbroken lineage of 5000 years of nature
wisdom--when you dig deep.
Humility goes with the territory of being
a True and Trustworthy Doctor--the Hippocrites Oath.
At last night's party I saw a lot of Chi
on the dance floor. How Sweet, and these young ones
have their heart in the right place.
They would have been the M.D.'s of the last generation.
I am honored to be bringing the Enchanted Garden
segway to The Medicine of Tomorrow that is NOW here.
I am honored to provide the Plant Your Dream Pac Sym
Altar where many are deeply moved to have a Sacred Space.
Go see your local acupuncturist.
Tonight Ted Kapthuck, Harvard inspiration,
speaks on "Hitchhiker's Guide to History of Medicine."
Ted is a priceless treasure.
For an Intro to TCM read
Ted book, "The Web that Has No Weaver."
and Harriet Beinfield's "Between Heaven and Earth"
