Parking at the Catamaran Resort
in Mission Beach is around $23.00 a day.
The lovely Resort is located in Pacific
Beach right on Mission Blvd. It has
its own bayside and a lovely view
of a Mississippi River Steamboat
where we hold some of our workshops
at this year's Pacific Symposium.
I come early enough to get one
of the free spots that goes with
having a Handicap sticker.
When I become the Enchanted Gardener
for the Governor of California,
I am going to have a law passed
that these Handicap spots are o.k.'ed
for the Handicapped and Enchanted Gardeners.
I always hold the thought,
how discourage I sometimes feel,
that at some point in this life,
I will be self-supporting fully by my
Creative Works, and not need the use of such
a Placard.
Driving into "My" spot today--
I always feel like I am going to Work.
It feels so delightful to be fully utilized
during this gathering.
Today, as I parked and packed some things
in my cart. There was the cutest little girl
walking about 20 feet behind her parent.
She was wearing a sweet little dress that
she likely picked out to wear today.
She was quite a distance away,
but I could not help but yelling out
"How Beautiful you are!"
She was far enough away that I might have
been yelling at anyone, but she turned
in my direction, as if she knew who was
beautiful, and broke into a large lovely smile.
She knew what was beautiful,
and she was.
It was a perfect start to an incredible
DAY ONE at the Pacific Symposium '06.
Your Enchanted Gardener,
Leslie
