Some Ideas on Meat as Medicine.

There are many traditions within natural medicine
that consider meat as a curative. Dr. Bernard Jensen,
was a vegetarian for many years. He also ate meat
and recommended various supplements, such as
protomophagens (sp?) that increased the health of
various organs through providing supplements made
from organ meats.
In response to the question of why a vegetarian
diet was the best possible diet, he would speak
for an hour. Many in the audience would take
lots of notes and commit to a vegetarian regimen.
Then, someone in the audience would ask about
meat eating. Dr. Jensen, would then speak an hour
on the benefits of meat and the times when animal
foods were essential for regaining and sustaining health.
Dr Jensen did not perscribe diets as much as he
perscribed a balanced Daily Living Regimen.
balance is an individual question and is
Soul inspired.
In an Enchanted Garden world,
where you and I are living in harmony with
our Soul and its powerful energies
and doing constant Spiritual Practices
it is very possible to live lower on the Food Chain
and maintain Excellent Health.
It is possible to be in this Fragmented world but not be of it.
For many others,
we depend on cows and other livestock
to spend time in the field for us,
absorbing and transforming the Vital Energies
of Life that we take in when we eat meat.
Most of us live a fast paced life.
We we not graze. We seldom take time
to chew our food. Cows chew for us.
I have met numbers of vegetarians who are
extremely healthy, and others who are not.
Gabriel Cousens, an Essene ally,
is a living example of a man who is sustained
by his Soul energies. He has a remarkable lifestyle
at the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center.
The Community lives close to the garden.
He does regular and sustained spiritual practices
that allow him to eat lower on the food chain
and sustain marvelous, abundant health.
Clearly Diet and Lifestyle go together.
Dr. Jensen would say the easiest way to
identify a successful vegetarian was to
see how peaceful their lifestyle.
A successful vegetarian, he would say,
had no fight left in them.
They seldom appoach converting others
to any particular eating regimen through argument.
They just don't have the energy for it.
Many of us today, would like to shift from
the Standard American Diet to more healthy practices.
Dr. Jensen's work is excellent in this regard.
He was a strong proponent of cleansing regimens.
His work on Bowel Cleansing in a classic in the field.
Jensen also was a master of "The Chemical Story."
He understood the Alchemy of the Electrically Alive minerals
that had been rising up "from the Dust of the Earth"
through Organically grown, Vital foods.
Jensen was also a great proponent of gardening
and spending time in nature.
He was in the American Health Sanitarium tradition.
His Hidden Valley Health Ranch in Escondido,
at one time had a staff of over 50 people,
and he guided many, more than 350,000 patients,
into healthier lifestyles.
Jensen also understood the plight of
"The Empty Harvest," one of his many books.
He knew that in present day American Culture,
a global export, we did not export a quality
of food that sustained Biodiverse Culture.
Jensen also understood and was quite romantic
about various foods that went with various Cultures.
He enthralled his audiences as he would speak about
various grains thatwere associated with various
personality qualities of various races.
This was part of "The Chemical Story."
He also knew that most wars were essentially fought
over Black Soil where people could grow the best foods.
Nowadays, we no longer understand the power of soil
as the Foundation for a Healthy Lifestyle.
We no longer understand that the Soul and the Earth
are Soil mates. (An Enchanted Garden Teaching)
We are propelled forward not by black soil,
but by black gold...oil.
Ethically, I feel sad that meat is a food
in my life. Meat as food does not mix with
many of the feelings I have for animals,
and yet I am among those who live in a City
environment. My hope is that I contribute more
than I take and leave this earth a more loved place
than I found it.
