She is a rabbi now.
It has been seven years,
check me on that, since she entered
the program. Now she has the title.
She has always been a generous friend,
an open place for me to share my feelings.
She carries for me the hope that Judaism with
indeed renew itself.
She understands and feels the pain of Mother Earth.
She questions how long we will be allowed to live
here on Earth continuing our current environmental
practices.
She came to take photos.
She was filled with feelings.
We both cried. We honored
the new mulberry tree.
We went to an area of the garden
where weddings can happen.
She brought many changes of clothes.
She changed to black at one point
and gave a practice eulogy--I asked
what she would say about me at my funeral.
It was sweet.
We shared stories.
In her own intimate relationship life,
I saw a mirror for the same growth issues
I face with my Best Friend. I lit up
seeing how Diane could be a ally
for BF and I in our own process
of becoming.
She is a therapist.
She understands about the silenced Voice
of Women.
I feel deep gratitude that I have found the strength
to witness BF rising as a woman, and been there
for her as she has found aspects of her own voice.
Diane understands movement,
conscious movement, and feels the need
personally to rebond with nature.
We did some of that in the Enchanted Garden
and she received membership in the Club.
Bonding with nature--
That was the theme of being together in the
Enchanted Garden yesterday.
This is one of the photos we took.
She will soon move up to the Bay Area.
From her, will come new expressions
of the depth of what is possible for
women, for Jewish Renewal in harmony
with nature.
