A Message to Friends and Family of the Tree of Life
The Amazing Cool Rainy Green Monsoon July-August
An opportunity to let go of, and Zero Point, your concepts that Patagonia, at 4200 feet, is like the rest of Arizona!
Print for Your Records - Fomatted for Easy Printing
Our average highs temps in July-August are equal to these cities:
* Twin Falls, Idaho
* Medford, Oregon
* Grand Junction, Colorado
* Lincoln, Nebraska
* Daytona Beach, FL
* Grass Valley, CA
* Nassau, Bahamas
* San Juan, Puerto Rico
* Walla Walla, WA
It is very rainy and cloudy during the middle of the days. During July and August, we are receiving more rain than Key West or most of Hawaii, 3.7 inches per 30 days!
The air humidity is lower than almost anywhere, though, making the atmosphere extremely comfortable!
Our Average, July-August days are cooler than:
Redding, northern California,
by 4 to 9 degrees.
Sacramento, Sierra Foothills, by 1 to 4 degrees
Stockton, Bay Area, by 2-5 degrees.
The evenings are as cool as you have in Valdez, Alaska, San Francisco, CA, and Lugano, Switzerland! The average low is about 62 degrees F! This is well cooler than even places like Maine and Winnipeg, Canada.
Natural Geography has blessed us with this comfortable and pleasant monsoon season.
MORE ABOUT OUR GEOGRAPHY:
Our 4200-foot elevation is higher than:
Holyoke, Colorado
(Higher by 400 feet)
The City of Mount Shasta, CA, in the foothills of the Cascades:
(Higher by 600 feet)
Nevada City & Grass Valley, CA, in the Sierra Foothills, by more than 900 ft.
The Tree of Life is exact same elevation as Great Salt Lake, Utah.
We are only 300 feet lower than the temperate, popular, summer Arizona destination of Sedona.
JUST HOW MUCH DOES IT RAIN?
We get more as much or more rain in the average July and August than:
* Most parts of Hawaii
* Key West, Florida
* Shreveport, Louisiana!
* Macon, GA
* Little Rock, Arkansas,
* Meridian, Mississippi
3.7 Inches of Rain Per 30 Days!
- From the Western Regional Climate Center.
With this rain, and the clouds covering the afternoon sun, we have THE MOST INCREDIBLE LIGHTNING AND BIODIVERSITY. This region at this time is known as both the lightning and birding capital of North America. The Tree of Life's ecological perch is a great panaramic view to watch the amazing lightning and birds.
