Avocado Sandwiches

To Senator John Vasconcellos,

John, how sweet! Looks liked you arranged my writing nicely,
and had some fun with it. I added a few corrections.
You can send it around if you like.
I am in massive creativity these days, imagining the world
I would like to see in front of me 20 years from now.
I would really like to be out more and about
next year, my book "Plant Your Dream!" in hand,
and see how we can create this world as the Enchanted Garden.
IT is all about finding a way to LIBERATE OUR VISION, isn't it, John,
even with the FLAWS. The FLAWS ARE a GIFT.

As my friend Arna says from Australia:
"This house will be my home for several years to come and i intend to create a
beautiful haven, with a succculent garden to mirror the one of my dreams!"

I know Yogananda liked avocado sandwiches.
I know this because my friend Harpo, who was 67 in 1976,
used to make him some when their lives touched.

Yoganda used to say, that even if he were speaking to 1000 people,
he looked out and saw a few people, and connected with them.
That’s what I'm doing right now.

I lived with Harpo for times between '74 and '77 in Mission Beach, CA,
at a restaurant on the Beach at the edge of Ventura Place,
across from the old and restored Belmont Park rollercoaster.
Anyone who responded to Harpo's call, "Hey You!" was in for a ride.
Harpo is a part of me. He will always be; So will you.

Spoke to Harpo a couple weeks ago.
He thought my writing about him was a bit too personal to put out as is,
but that's my style.
Harpo was the man whose hand I felt on my back
when I took off down the boardwalk in 1976, after being unable
to walk or spread my legs apart more than 1/4 inch for more than 18 months.

Gee, I've learned a lot about feeling crippled in this life, and going beyond it.

I'm making a list this morning of all my crippling ideas,
and tracking the way GOD is REVEALED through US in the world
Through our CRACKS.
This exercise is part of my writing for one of the "Plant Your Dream" Booklets, called "Mending the Cracks in Our Lives."

Thought I'd share my morning inspiration with you, as a way of FOCUSING
what I HEARD this MORNING off the COSMIC WIRE.

HOW GOD IS REVEALED THROUGH ME in the WORLD


"Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread." I hear.

I accept, I am a FOOL by CHOICE.
I FALL from the GARDEN.
I have UNWHOLE IDEAS.
I SUFFER. I feel EMOTIONS that are STUCK.
I BREAK DOWN.
I CRACK OPEN.
THE UNIVERSE RUSHES IN to AID and ASSIST
because I AM WHOLE by NATURE and in NATURE.
I take TIME to be where I AM.
I HAVE A MOMENT OF AWAKENING.
I have REVELATIONS. My PERCEPTIONS are altered.
I RE-REVIEW where I was STUCK, separating my GROWTH material
from who or what I imagine has HURT ME.
I GIVE THANKS for my GROWTH MATERIAL.

I see what I sense has HURT ME with compassion.
I return to a state of LOVE, the force that binds this UNIVERSE together.

My fingers move. I become inspired.
I feel motivated to get out of bed and write on PURPOSE.
I do my best to CRAFT what has inspired me.

I accept FULFILLMENT is on its way into my life
and into the WORLD. I am JOB returned to the Garden.
I am ADAM no longer HIDING.
I take my SEED DREAMS out of the SEED PACKAGE.
I let the PLANT GROW, to make more beauty in the World.
How else is a New WORLD Created but through each of us REVEALED?
I LET IT BE O.K. to RELEASE NEW CREATION,
in spite of my JUDGEMENTS ON THIS ARTIST.
I am good enough as I am.


THROUGH what I name as my FLAWS, my CRACKS,
a little bit more TRUTH comes into the WORLD
as I let it out. IF it were not for the CRACKS in US,
the STATUS QUO would rule me. In Chinese Medicine
they call that Stagnation.

MAKING THE MOST of the CRACKS In US
more of GOD is REVEALED in the world TODAY.
MAKING THE MOST of the CRACKS in ME
my BODY feels better, and so does the BODY of the EARTH
MORE GOD is HERE now.
