Organic strawberries in Whole Foods from Joe Rodriguez, aka Joe the Farmer?

Had another Religious experience
at Whole Foods Market in the early eve
right after Earth Day in Balboa Park.

Joe the Farmer had given me some
organic strawberries. I wanted to show
them to the people at the Whole Foods booth.

Whole Foods is has a push to support local
agriculture. I am so proud of them!!!!

Anyway, it wasn't the opportunity to make that
contact.

Then, when I went into the store later,
I still had some of these lovely organic strawberries.

Amelia, a sweet lady, was shopping.
She was on her way to pick up Marshall Rosenberg,
the main line global peace teacher.

I gave her one box of the ripe strawberries from him
with a card. She invited me to attend the workshop on
Wednesday. IT is at the Peace Resource Center.
I met those folks during the day and so that is a natural
fit. They have a grant to do a garden there.

Then, I connected with the produce department.
Chad was working. I pitched my idea of having these
wonderful out of the box strawberries in the store.
I could drop them off on Sundays after the FM.

Dave, the Team Leader, was there.
We are already on a cordial relationship.
He was open to the idea.
He ate a strawberry.

I wrote a note for Bill Becket, the manager.
Hopefully this will work out.

I love shopping here,
more and more of the products have meaning
for me because I know where the money goes
and which give to good causes.
