Healing Lepers by YourEnchantedGardener .....

Profound Healing Happened yesterday for me and others as we listened to Bo Lozoff, a man who strives for humility and does deep spiritual practices.

There is a scene in one of my a favorite movies,
"Ben Hur."

Jesus has died on the cross.
The blood is running down the mountain
intermixed with rain and tears.
The music is very strong

Ben Hur has brought his daughter
and mother out of the Leper Colony
where the mother is near death.
Their skin is tormented with open wounds.

They both are not sure what is going on,
but are totally ingrossed in the Deep and Simple
power of the moment. Thunder and Lightning.
Pain and Suffering, and then the music Lightens.

Their skin softens and is healed.
They Judah Ben Hur, who has been touched
by the Christ a number of times in the story
gives up his pain and anger,
his striving for revenge, his will to take down
Rome. The very uncontented man becomes content.
He softens too and stands in the moment
embracing the Love of his family who are
miraculously returned to him.

My experience with Bo Lozoff yesterday
was like that.

I have been shaking a lot lately,
as if in the midst of an earthquake
that does not seem to quit.
It has been going on for many months of Winter.
The pattern has repeated.
Many places I have gone to get energy
have taken energy.

IT has been a series of heart rending experiences
shattering my belief in what I can count on,
what I Trust, who I trust.

Fear of Abandonment, deep seated from childhood,
has been with me. Anxiety over fear of losing
love and intimacy
have been with me.

Mental unrest,
heart aches,
panic attacks
have been with me.

There is a song that comes to mind:

MacArthur Park,
sung by Richard Harris

It is about a cake left out in the rain
lyrics below.

Yesterday, Bo Lozoff was the icing
on the cake, sweet,
green, livingi icing
that seemed to clarify
this Cake that had steps on
and left out in the rain.

His words were went in deep.
I capture some of them here

Here are the Lyrics.

MacArthur Park - Richard Harris
Spring was never waiting for us, girl
It ran one step ahead
As we followed in the dance
Between the parted pages and were pressed
In love's hot, fevered iron
Like a striped pair of pants

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

I recall the yellow cotton dress
Foaming like a wave
On the ground around your knees
The birds, like tender babies in your hands
And the old men playing checkers by the trees

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

[break]

There will be another song for me
For I will sing it
There will be another dream for me
Someone will bring it
I will drink the wine while it is warm
And never let you catch me looking at the sun
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
You'll still be the one

I will take my life into my hands and I will use it
I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it
I will have the things that I desire
And my passion flow like rivers through the sky
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
I'll be thinking of you
And wondering why

[extended break]

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!
Oh, no
No, no
Oh no!!
