Weighloss fasting cautions by YourEnchantedGardener .....

I see red flags when a person fasts for weight loss. What is your experience?

I really get a red flag about so many of us
attempting to fast for weightoss.

Dr. Jensen used to talk a lot about how you can tear
a house down in a minute with a fire, but it takes
a long time to build a new foundation.

I personally have never gotten too far when I
have fasted for long periods of time to improve my health.
I am too emotionally sensitive to keep from
doing greater harm to myself when feelings come up.

One of my worst experiences with fasting--
and that was on juices--was breaking the fast wrong.
All things emotions of denial came up.

I went off into severe binging for a year.
It was aweful. I was completely out of control.

I know I can be thrown off my emotions.
It happens often.

A person can only fast so many times without depleting
the body to the point where we can no longer fast.

Fasting is like going on nature's surgery table.
Remember the good of a fast comes after the fast.
Breaking a fast wrong is worse that not fasting at all.

Being happy with every small improvement,
creates the pattern to keep improving.

All kinds of emotional toxins come up when fasting.

I would recommend going slow with fasting,
and making sure it is not one more way to beat
yourself up for not liking yourself as you are.

I feel good about going to the FM (FM=Farmers' Market)
yesterday and not eating anything for emotional reasons.

My bowel movement seemed healthier, especially
when I do not mix fruits with proteins.

I came home and had a lovely soup with squash
and some turkey drumsticks that simmered for a long time.

That worked for me...plus I had a companion for dinner
and we did some mediations.

Support from friends is essential when making any
big diet changes. Curezone offers a lot of that support..

It is good to be honest about your results. Blogging
about them is good.

I have written more about this.
