To Jobekah, Daughter of Humanity... a poem in "Loving Together."

old poem from an old book,
I wrote, long out of print.

To Jobekah, daughter of Humanity
Don't thing for a moment I've forgotten you.
Don't think for a moment I missed a word you said,
how you left town on a busride to speak to God
in a weed field, and how He sent you pennies from Heaven
you found there in the dirt to pay the your way home.
You cried. You wanted so deeply to know who you were,
and why He put you here.
I didn't know myself,
how to present my gifts He gave me,
what to say and when.
You cried as I told you that,
and in your tears expressed, I knew when I talked
I talked for you too.
How many words are needed to express our message?
How much time must we talk?
So much is said in a teardrop.
