Spent some time with Ruth Platner
an art teacher and retired director
of the Oceanshide Museum School of Art.

She makes some wonderful art projects
with kids, including dolls that look like Kachina's.
they are made from plastic bottles covered with aluminnum
and have feathers and beads. She used the Aol throwaway
disks that we get in the mail for wings.

I showed her my notebook of photos.
Spending time with her reminded me of a focus
for different photo projects.

including:

1. Getting HIp--photos in hospital settings.
Goal: picture at the Thornton Hospital. Follow up with
Dr. Bugbee, by surgeion, and also the lovely doctor I met
at the Feng SHui Conference, who joined the EG Club
and wanted to get them in the hospital in Hillcrest.

2. photos in the eating area of the state capital.

I am going to take the portfolio to the FM this morning.
I do not have any active sources of sales these days.

I am feeling board this morning.
What's the use?, kind of feeling.
sort of in a doldrum looking at lots of work
this week.

Thank God, got the new housemate settled into the house
and that is good.

Not feeling spiritually alive right now.
Nots of seeds in packages.

impending stresses possibly with changes I need to make
at the house regarding purchase.

Best to keep the focus on financials and get this behind me.

REMEMBER;

February 2 get things to Judy Levy this week for program
for show at erotic museum

Put some time in organizing photos while I have a change
of FM photos for OTA...

REMEMBER the excitement I felt when I "rediscovered"
the beauty last week in the portfolio.

OTA showing at Natural Product Expo West...

but why? Definitely need some garden renewal inside me.
Where is my spark?

From Ruth

Dear Leslie,

I am so impressed with your photography. Your skill is amazing!
But you go far beyond technical skill in your choice of subject matter,
which radiate your spirituality. I would love to see your work in large
format and well framed--in galleries and also in decorative settings
in organic food conscious restaurants.

Fondly,
Ruth Platner
